With this review I want to express my sincere gratitude to Libby. My daughter needed a tutor to improve her GCSE expected grade in English Language and English Literature from an 8 to a 9. Although we are still waiting on results, I can already see the profound progress my daughter has made since she started lessons with Libby: she received excellent feedback at school and her grades shot up. Libby is an outstanding English tutor, who is not only organised, but also very patient and diligent with her job, and my daughter truly enjoyed her sessions. I was failing and struggling in Higher English and was not understanding it at all. At the start of January I got Caroline as a tutor who improved my grade to a D in my prelim and eventually a B in the exam. I could not recommend Caroline more as she saved my English grade. She taught me short cuts and formulas to answer the questions and went through how my answers were wrong. This made me understand English even more than I did at Nat 5 so overall she is the best teacher you can have if you are struggling.

Cristina is a wonderfully competent and experienced professional with excellent knowledge of the GCSE curriculum. She has kept my daughter fully engaged in her English course and built her confidence, encouraging her to expand answers and, better still using discussion to prompt deeper thinking. I highly recommend Cristina for her breadth and understanding the individual’s needs.
