My motto is simple, nothing is hard, either we know or we don't. Practice is the key to excellence. I have a Bachelor of Science, specializing in Chemistry, and have a PGDE from the University of Edinburgh. Here is what I do. I don’t just teach mathematics and chemistry; I teach you how to understand the subject. I explain the topics in a very simple way for you to understand, I follow with an example, then I ask you a simple question to see how you think. I do try to prove the subject easy, I try to prove to you that you are capable of doing it. It is you’re your answers that tells me what to ...

Phil T
Phil did a terrific job with my daughter. Took her from zero chemistry knowledge and no confidence that she could ever learn it, to a solid B in her Scottish Higher within just a few months. Phil has a methodical approach and clearly sees his students as individual learners and is very keen to understand each one's strengths and weaknesses. We were very pleased indeed with her progress and success under Phil.
