What exactly are Functional Skills?
Functional Skills are qualifications in English and Maths that equip learners with the practical, real-world skills needed in life and work. They focus on problem-solving and applying knowledge to everyday situations rather than purely academic theory.
Is a Functional Skills qualification as good as a GCSE?
A Level 2 Functional Skills qualification is officially recognised as equivalent to a GCSE pass at grade 4 (or a C grade in the old system). It's accepted by many colleges for entry onto courses and by a wide range of employers as proof of core ability.
How can a tutor help my child pass their Functional Skills exams?
