Having previously attempted to learn instruments and failed miserably I cannot recommend Carl highly enough as not only has he got me playing the drums, he is also successfully teaching me to read music, something other tutors have tried but failed to do. From the very first lesson of setting up the drums Carl has taught theory alongside the playing of the drums in a manner, that it is not a chore but enjoyable and makes sense to the practical playing of the drums without confusing which has not happened with other tutors. I am very pleased with my progress which has been greatly helped by the relaxed way in which it is taught and would not hesitate to recommend Carl to anybody interested in learning to play the drums.
