Gemma started tutoring my 9 year old daughter in English and Maths last September. At this point my daughter was having many struggles academically and had lost all confidence and no longer wanted to try to achieve good marks at school.
Nearly a year on and having just received her school summer report I am ecstatic to read a 100% turnaround.
Both my daughter’s maths and English teachers have stated how proud she should be of how far she has progressed in just one year and the change in her confidence and abilities and how they have grown.
Previously scoring below average, my daughter is now scoring higher than average.
This is down to this amazing tutor Gemma, my daughter has ADHD and suffers with concentration and remaining in the zone for periods of time. Gemma has built her confidence to attempt work independently and has been so patient with her even when her concentration has lacked and has done her upmost to keep her engagement.
I am eternally grateful as Gemma reversed my daughters outlook on school work and is has been fantastic to watch her strive thanks to her tutoring.
My daughter looks forward to her sessions, Gemma had a natural ability to relate with your child that clearly makes learning enjoyable and not a chore.
