Brilliant Psychology tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
Can a tutor specifically help my child get into Wyggeston and Queen Elizabeth I College for A-Level Psychology?
Yes, absolutely. Many of our tutors are experienced in helping students make the crucial transition from GCSE to A-Level. They can focus on strengthening your child's GCSE performance in relevant subjects and help them develop the analytical skills and foundational knowledge that will make their application stand out to competitive sixth forms like WQE.
My child dreams of studying Psychology at the University of Leicester. How can tutoring help with that long-term goal?
That's a fantastic goal! A tutor can help build a strong academic foundation right from the start. For a competitive course at the University of Leicester, achieving high A-Level grades (like AAB) is key. Tutoring provides consistent support to master difficult topics, refine exam technique, and develop the independent thinking skills needed to excel at A-Level and beyond.
Is online tutoring as effective as in-person for a subject like Psychology?
It is, and it offers unique advantages. Our online classroom has interactive whiteboards, screen sharing for analysing texts and data, and session recordings for revision. Crucially, it gives your child in Leicester access to top Psychology specialists from across the UK, not just whoever lives nearby. It’s quality teaching without the travel.
How do you ensure your Psychology tutors are high quality?
We're very selective. Every tutor is background-checked and interviewed by a member of our team. We only accept 1 in every 8 applicants, ensuring they are not only subject matter experts but also passionate and effective teachers. Many have degrees from top universities and extensive teaching experience.
What happens if we don't get on with the first tutor we try?
It's really important that your child feels comfortable and connected with their tutor. We have a first lesson guarantee. If you don't get on with your first choice for any reason, just email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover the cost of your first session with a new tutor.
My child struggles with the research methods part of Psychology. Can a tutor focus on that?
Definitely. That's a common challenge and a core part of the syllabus. The benefit of one-to-one tutoring is that sessions can be completely tailored. Your chosen tutor can dedicate as much time as needed to building confidence in research methods, statistical analysis, and experimental design until your child feels secure.
How much does online Psychology tutoring for a student in Leicester cost?
Our tutors set their own hourly rates, typically starting from around £25 per hour, based on their experience and qualifications. You can browse profiles and filter by price to find a brilliant tutor who fits your budget, with no hidden fees or contracts.
How long are the tutoring sessions and how often should we have them?
Most sessions are one hour long, which is usually ideal for maintaining focus. Most families opt for one session per week, but you can arrange a schedule that works best for you and your child directly with your tutor. It's completely flexible.
My child needs help with their GCSEs in general, not just Psychology. Do you offer other subjects?
Yes, we cover over 300 subjects. Many parents find us for one subject and then realise we can help across the board, from core subjects like Maths, English and Science to languages, humanities, and even music or coding. You can find experts for almost any subject your child is studying.
Are your tutors familiar with the AQA and OCR exam boards for Psychology?
Yes. When you search, you can see which exam boards each tutor specialises in on their profile. Most experienced Psychology tutors are proficient across all major exam boards, including AQA, OCR, and Edexcel, and can tailor their teaching to the specific requirements of your child's syllabus.
What technology do we need for online lessons?
It's very simple. All your child needs is a laptop or computer with a webcam, a microphone, and a stable internet connection. Our online classroom is browser-based, so there's no complicated software to download. It's designed to be as easy and intuitive as possible.
How much does online Psychology tutoring for a student in Leicester cost?
The best way is through open communication with the tutor. They will provide regular feedback on your child's development, highlighting areas of improvement and topics they plan to cover next. You can message your tutor at any time through our platform to discuss progress and ask questions.
