Brilliant Psychology tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
My child is hoping to study Psychology at Melton Vale Sixth Form College. Can a tutor help strengthen their chances?
Absolutely. That's a key reason many parents in Melton Mowbray come to us. Our tutors can help solidify your child's GCSE knowledge and exam technique, ensuring they achieve the grades needed. More than that, they can ignite a passion and deeper understanding for the subject that will make them a standout candidate for competitive A-Level courses.
How can an online tutor from outside the area know what my child's school in Melton Mowbray is teaching?
Our tutors are experts in the national curriculum for England and specific exam boards like AQA, OCR, and Edexcel. They focus on the core syllabus your child needs to master, regardless of the specific school. They'll work with your child to understand their current topics, fill any gaps, and push them ahead, complementing their classroom learning perfectly.
Is online tutoring as effective as in-person for a subject like Psychology?
We find it's even more effective for many students. Online tutoring removes geographical barriers, giving your child in Melton Mowbray access to a much wider pool of specialists across the UK. With interactive whiteboards, screen sharing for past papers, and instant messaging, it's a dynamic and focused learning environment, all from the comfort of home.
What happens if my child doesn't click with their first Psychology tutor?
Finding the right personality match is crucial, and we're committed to getting it right. If the first session isn't a perfect fit, just email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk. We'll be happy to cover the cost of your first lesson with an alternative tutor, ensuring you find the perfect partner for your child's learning.
What kind of qualifications and experience do your Psychology tutors have?
We're very selective – only 1 in 8 tutors who apply are accepted. Our Psychology tutors range from experienced teachers and A-Level examiners to university lecturers and subject matter experts with degrees from top universities. Every tutor is background-checked and vetted for their teaching ability.
My child finds the scientific and mathematical parts of Psychology difficult. Can a tutor help?
Yes, this is a very common challenge. A specialist tutor can dedicate time to breaking down research methods, statistics, and the biological aspects of the course in a way that makes sense to your child. They can build confidence in these specific areas, which are often crucial for achieving top grades.
How much does online Psychology tutoring cost?
Our tutors set their own rates, typically starting from around £20 per hour, based on their experience and qualifications. You can browse profiles and filter by price to find a brilliant tutor who fits your budget. There are no hidden fees or long-term commitments.
How flexible are the lesson times?
Extremely flexible. That's one of the biggest benefits for busy families. You can arrange sessions for evenings, weekends, or during school holidays – whatever works best for your child's schedule and your family's commitments. You can agree on times directly with your chosen tutor.
How will I know if my child is making real progress?
Tutors provide regular feedback on your child's progress, highlighting areas of strength and topics they'll be focusing on next. The best sign, however, is often the change you'll see in your child – their growing confidence, their willingness to tackle homework, and the way they start talking about the subject with real enthusiasm.
Beyond Psychology, can my child get help with other subjects?
Of course. We have expert tutors across more than 300 subjects, from core GCSEs like Maths, English, and the Sciences to languages, humanities, and even practical skills like coding or music. You can find all the support your child needs in one place.
What technology do we need for an online lesson?
It's very simple. All you need is a laptop or computer with a webcam, a microphone, and a stable internet connection. Our platform has a built-in video chat and interactive whiteboard, so there's no complex software to install.
How much does online Psychology tutoring cost?
Yes, absolutely. Many of our tutors list their specific exam board expertise (e.g., AQA, Edexcel, OCR) on their profiles. You can use the filters when searching to find a tutor who has in-depth experience with the exact syllabus and exam style your child is facing.
