Ben W
I asked Ben for some help with the physiology work I have been given as part of my physiotherapy degree (muscle structure / function etc.). I'm a bit of a nightmare student as have real trouble concentrating and a kinesthetic learning style (not ideal for online tutoring or this topic) but I let Ben know about this in advance and he spent a lot of time preparing materials to use in class and took everything I said onboard to tailor the lesson and make it as efficient as possible.

Marjan has the absolute patience of a saint. She makes learning about the subject easy and refreshing. If the teachers in schools and university were more like her. We wouldn't need tutors.

Charlie H
Charlie was amazing with my 2 secondary school boys. He was kind and considerate and really tailored the 3.5 hour session to suit their level of understanding. It was clear how much preparation work he had put in. My sons responded well and were very inspired, because Charlie could speak on their level. I am absolutely delighted and couldn’t recommend Charlie highly enough. We have already agreed on another exciting day full of science soon!

Brilliant Physiology tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
My child hopes to study medicine at the University of Leicester. Can a tutor help with this?
Yes, absolutely. While our tutors don't write personal statements, they are brilliant at helping your child master the A-Level Physiology content needed to achieve top grades. This academic excellence, combined with the confidence they build, is a crucial part of a strong university application.
Competition for health science courses is high in Leicester. How can a tutor give my child an edge?
In a busy classroom, it can be hard for a teacher to give every student individual attention. A one-to-one tutor can focus entirely on your child, identifying specific areas where they need help and building a learning plan that plugs those gaps, ensuring they have a really solid understanding of the subject.
What if my child doesn't click with their first tutor?
We know that the right fit is essential. That's why we have our First Lesson Guarantee. If you don't get on with your tutor for any reason, email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover your first session with a new tutor.
How do I choose the right Physiology tutor for my child?
You can browse tutor profiles to see their experience, qualifications, and what other parents say about them. Many tutors also have an introductory video to help you get a sense of their personality. You can message them before booking to make sure they're the perfect fit for your child's needs.
How much does online Physiology tutoring cost?
Prices vary depending on the tutor's experience and level of expertise, but you can set your own budget and filter your search to find a tutor who fits. There are no hidden fees or subscriptions – you simply pay as you go for the lessons you book.
How do you make sure the tutors are safe and high-quality?
Your child's safety is our top priority. Every tutor is background-checked and interviewed by our team. We're very selective and only accept 1 in every 8 tutors who apply, so you can be confident your child is learning from the best.
How can a tutor help my child feel more confident about Physiology?
Confidence often comes from understanding. In a one-to-one setting, your child can ask any question without feeling embarrassed. By breaking down complex topics and celebrating small wins, a tutor helps your child see that they are capable of mastering the subject, which builds lasting self-belief.
Can tutoring really improve my child's grades?
Yes, it can make a significant difference. We've helped over 200,000 students, and we know that 90% of our students improve by at least one grade. The personalised attention and tailored lessons really do help concepts click into place.
Are the tutors qualified to teach A-Level Physiology?
Definitely. Many of our tutors are qualified teachers, examiners, or hold degrees in Physiology or related subjects. You can view each tutor's specific qualifications and experience on their profile to find the right expert for your child.
How do online lessons work?
Our online classroom has everything your child needs, including a two-way interactive whiteboard, video chat, and file sharing. It’s a simple and effective way to learn from the comfort of your own home. All your child needs is a laptop or computer and a stable internet connection.
How often should my child have a lesson?
Most families find that a one-hour lesson each week is a great starting point. This allows the tutor to build momentum and cover topics thoroughly without overwhelming your child. You can always discuss the ideal frequency with your chosen tutor.
How can a tutor help my child feel more confident about Physiology?
We offer tutoring for a huge range of subjects and skills beyond the school curriculum! Whether your child wants to learn to play the piano, get help with coding, or even learn a new language for fun, we have expert tutors ready to help them explore their interests.
