Lily is an excellent tutor, we highly recommend her. She tutored my son for his GCSE literature and language exams. Her sessions are really well planned and my sons engagement, question answering skills, essay technique and knowledge increased hugely thanks to her sessions. My son had not been to school for over two years due to anxiety and although he had online lessons in English he really needed some extra help. Thanks to Lily he managed to raise his predicted grade considerably and went into his GCSE exams feeling prepared and confident.

I genuinely cannot recommend Melanie highly enough. From the beginning of year 13 she has patiently worked with me, developing all my skills, specifically identifying, targeting and making me confident with my weak points such as my struggle in planning and selecting moments in my texts. What stood out in Melanie’s teaching was her ability to explain and develop complex ideas with me then help me simplify them, in order to gain marks in literature. She has provided a range of resources, from predicted questions to detailed revision resources. Her guidance has always made me leave every lesson feeling more confident. Furthermore, her selection of texts to revise specifically for unseen is great; she even explored the extract that appeared in my exam. Also Melanie dedicates her time to mark extra essays with thorough, detailed feedback tailored to what I need to improve. Thanks to her support I approached my A-Level English literature exams with a key feeling, I left our final lesson with was confidence. After months of her guidance, support, and thorough preparation, I felt genuinely well prepared for my exams and far more confident in my ability to tackle whatever came up. Beyond an excellent tutor, her dedication, knowledge and belief in me has made an incredible difference to my approach with English, not just with exams but as a subject too. I am so grateful for her help, and would wholeheartedly recommend her as an English tutor !

Anita has been extremely helpful in my AQA A-level English Literature studies, I cannot recommend her enough! She has been incredibly supportive, taking the time to mark my essays and provide helpful feedback which has really helped me to access the top bands in my work. Anita is very knowledgable on a wide rage of texts and we can really dissect every aspect of them thoroughly. Her lessons are enjoyable and engaging. Once again I cannot recommend her enough!

I cannot recommend Carla enough. She is a fantastic teacher whom my daughter has flourished with. She took my daughter from a grade 2 to grade 6 in mocks, she has a great teaching style and my daughter has said Carla is one of the best teachers she has ever had. She connects so well and is professional and personable. Highly recommend!!
