Whilst I don't promise this, this is always my end goal. Ihsanur R
Last Year I did not do well in English Language in which I had a Grade 3. With my November resits fast approaching I felt very privileged to have Ihsanur as my tutor. He was able to present lessons in a concise way which helped me understand what went well and what I needed to improve on.
After the November resits I managed to obtain a Grade 4 in English Language AQA. I would really recommend him for those taking the GCSE 2026 because he is committed and dedicated in order to achieve academic potential with pupils. Thanks again Ihsanur for the hard work you do.

Flora I
Flora has been helping Isla prepare for her English Literature and English Language GCSE exams. From the first lesson, Flora “clicked” with Isla and quickly understood her needs. She made Isla feel comfortable and pinpointed areas for development and was so supportive. Isla felt at ease and could ask questions knowing that the necessary time would be taken to help her understand. Flora was incredibly accommodating, adjusting lesson times and dates as needed. She was also very responsive to messages and promptly returned marked work, going above and beyond to support us. Isla’s work was annotated and marked, providing valuable feedback and areas for future focus, which has been invaluable. Flora’s passion for the subject shone through, thank you so much Flora!

Jessica C
Our son has had four lessons in English Language and English Literature with Jessica so far, as he’s sitting his GCSEs this year. It’s clear Jessica has a strong background and is truly in the right profession—she knows exactly what’s needed and structures each lesson to cover any gaps. She explains everything clearly, focuses on exam technique, and is patient and supportive. Our son enjoys the lessons and already feels more confident. We’re planning to continue and are very glad to have Jessica as his tutor. We highly recommend her!

Building confidence is one of the biggest benefits of one-to-one tutoring. A dedicated English Language tutor provides a safe, encouraging space for your child to ask questions, make mistakes, and celebrate small victories. This personalised attention helps them understand concepts better, feel more capable, and approach their studies with renewed self-belief.
What's it like for my child to have an online English Language lesson?
Our online classroom is designed to be interactive and engaging. Your child will connect with their tutor via video call, using a virtual whiteboard for notes, sharing documents, and even working through practice questions together. It's just like an in-person lesson, but with the added convenience and flexibility of learning from home.
How do you ensure your English Language tutors are qualified and safe?
Your child's safety and learning quality are our top priorities. We have a rigorous vetting process, accepting only 1 in 8 tutor applicants. All our tutors are background-checked, and we verify their qualifications and experience to ensure they are experts in their field and fantastic at explaining complex English Language concepts.
Will I be able to see my child's progress in English Language?
Absolutely. Your child's tutor will regularly communicate with you about their progress, key learning areas, and next steps. You'll often see improvements in their schoolwork and confidence, and knowing that 90% of Tutorful students improve by at least one grade, you can feel confident in their journey.
What should my child expect from their first online English Language lesson?
The first lesson is usually a chance for your child and their tutor to get to know each other. The tutor will assess your child's current understanding, discuss their goals (like achieving a Grade 7 in GCSE English), and start building a personalised learning plan. It's a relaxed, introductory session designed to set the stage for success.
