After months of reading books on essay writing, editing and re-editing my work, I cracked it; with writing becoming my strongest skill. My lessons aim to fast-track you on that path, but also to bolster your knowledge of the topic so that you have some more complex insight into the topics, possessing what so many other students lack.I have produced award-winning historical and philosophical research, as well as having written published articles on...

Rebecca T
Rebecca has been an excellent English tutor to our 9 year old during a very difficult time when he needed to be homeschooled. She catered her lessons around subjects our little one found interesting and enjoyed, and she managed to keep him much more engaged with his schoolwork than we were able to do on our own. Rebecca provided very detailed and helpful verbal and written feedback after lessons and helped us identify his strengths and weaknesses so that we knew what to focus on. We have seen improvement with his writing ability and spellings, and it has been great to see him more engaged with a subject he doesn't like very much! We have been very happy with Rebecca's work and we would highly recommend her as a tutor. Thanks for all your help Rebecca!

Jessica B
My son was approaching English GCSEs feeling demotivated and probably overwhelmed. Jessica started work with him and very quickly there was a change. He enjoyed his lesson with her, she explained things clearly and adapted the lessons as exams approached switching between Language & Literature. She is a brilliant teacher and her up to date knowledge of exam content/ technique/marking was a real bonus. He became motivated and more confident and was able to take his English GCSE with confidence and a clarity of what he needed to do. Our only regret was that he didn't start with her sooner!

Look for individuals who possess relevant qualifications, such as a degree in English or a related field, along with teaching certifications. A teacher's academic background and professional experience can greatly influence their ability to effectively teach and guide you in acquiring the English language skills.
Furthermore, consider the teaching approach and style employed by the English teacher.
