Creative Dyslexia tutor
Hi! I am a full-time tutor with a background in Biochemistry, Genetics and Biomedical Science. Jasmine U
Having learning difficulties, I thought I would feel uncomfortable in the first lesson; however, Jasmine is lovely.
Jasmine gave me detailed feedback on my A Level Business assignment in regards to layout and improvements in my academic writing.
She also gave me examples I could include in my assignment to achieve the highest grade possible on the assignment. Jasmine kindly wrote me a list of things that she discussed in the lesson so that I wouldn't forget, which was helpful.
Additionally, Jasmine asked me if I had any questions I had near the end, so I was reassured or if I had any doubts. She is very friendly, and I was able to communicate with her without feeling shy.
I would highly recommend Jasmine as a tutor.

Brilliant Dyslexia tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
We're aiming for a competitive London grammar school. Can a tutor help my child prepare for the 11+ with their dyslexia in mind?
Absolutely. Many of our tutors specialise in 11+ preparation and have experience supporting children with dyslexia. They can help your child develop effective strategies for verbal and non-verbal reasoning, build their confidence with exam formats, and manage their time effectively, all in a way that works for them.
My child's London school has limited SEND resources. How can a private tutor fill that gap?
A private tutor provides the focused, one-to-one attention that can be difficult to find in a busy school environment. They can work in partnership with you and your child's school, reinforcing classroom learning and providing tailored support and techniques that specifically address the challenges associated with dyslexia.
How do I choose the right Dyslexia tutor for my child?
It's all about finding the right fit. You can read reviews from other parents, watch introductory videos, and message tutors to ask about their experience with dyslexia. Many tutors offer a free 15-minute chat so you and your child can meet them first to make sure you feel comfortable.
What if my child doesn't click with their first tutor?
We know how important the student-tutor relationship is. That's why we have our First Lesson Guarantee. If you don't get on with your first choice, email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover your first session with a new tutor.
How much does a Dyslexia tutor in London cost?
Our tutors set their own prices based on their experience and qualifications, so you can find someone who fits your budget. Prices are clearly displayed on each tutor's profile, with no hidden fees or extra costs.
Are your tutors qualified to support children with dyslexia?
Many of our tutors are qualified teachers or subject-matter experts with specific training and extensive experience in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including dyslexia. We handpick every tutor, and only 1 in 8 applicants are successful, so you can be sure you're choosing from the best.
How can a tutor help my child's confidence?
Confidence is key. In a one-to-one session, your child has a safe space to ask questions without feeling embarrassed. A great tutor will celebrate small wins, break down big challenges into manageable steps, and show your child that they are capable of achieving their goals, which can have a huge positive impact on their self-esteem.
What happens in a typical online session for dyslexia?
Our online classroom is designed to be engaging. Tutors can use an interactive whiteboard, share resources, and use different learning tools and games. For dyslexia support, this might involve using colour overlays, mind-mapping tools, or phonics-based activities to make learning more effective and fun.
How do I know if my child is making progress?
Your tutor will provide regular feedback on your child's progress. You can also message your tutor at any time to discuss how things are going. The goal is to work as a team to support your child, and open communication is a big part of that.
How long will my child need a tutor for?
This is completely flexible and depends on your child's goals. Some parents use tutors for a short-term boost before an exam, while others prefer ongoing weekly support. You can discuss this with your tutor to create a plan that works for your family.
Is tutoring just for school subjects, or can my child learn other skills?
While we help with a huge range of academic subjects, we also have tutors for hobbies and life skills. Whether your child wants to learn to play the guitar, get started with coding, or even learn a new language for fun, we can help them find a brilliant tutor.
How can a tutor help my child's confidence?
It's a simple and secure online space where your child connects with their tutor via video call. It includes an interactive whiteboard for drawing and writing, document sharing for homework, and a chat function. It has everything needed for a brilliant, engaging lesson.
