I started taking tutoring lessons about a month or two before my a level, as I wanted to be able to gain insight of how to achieve a better grade when I had initially been panicking English was not my strongest subject. Luckily, I was able to have my weekly lessons with Elandra, who patiently tutored me and catered towards my ability. Her experience with English as well as knowledge on what examiners are looking for allowed me to achieve a grade A in english language. I highly recommend these lessons to anyone who is feeling nervous or unsure with how to boost their marks.

Having Wafaa as my AQA A-level Physics tutor finally allowed me to access my full potential. As many other physicists, I was stuck in the boundary between grades Cs and Bs and I knew I could do better, but I was completely lost. Each session served both as a lesson in physics and as a lesson in critical thinking, which is so much more important than I anticipated. They've helped me actually understand all the tricky topics, rather than just memorise them. Each session was tailored to me and my needs, even if I needed help in a Maths paper! In the end I went up from a grade C in my year 12 mocks to an A on results day, which wouldn't have been possible otherwise. The problem-solving skills and ability to break down large concepts will stick with me throughout university. I could not recommend a tutor enough.

Now directly from the student… When I was at school I had a really big problem. I was not very good at maths. Me and my mum would sit every day when she could to help. But she had lots of work and she said “let’s get a tutor”. I was not very keen at first. Then, my mum found a tutor. Katie! I was a bit nervous but when I got into the lesson I was happy. I told Katie my problem and for lots of weeks, on Tuesdays, we worked. She would give me homework that I actually understood. In lessons she would help me whenever I was stuck. She would be kind and say things like “do you need any help?” and she explained it to me until I understood it. She is the first but best tutor I have ever had!!! Thank you!
