Your Partner in Finding the Right Support
We understand that finding the right tutor can feel overwhelming, especially if it's new to you. You simply answer a few short questions about your child – their subject, level, and what they find tricky. We then carefully surface a small number of well-suited tutors, chosen for their ability to connect, explain, and build confidence, not just their subject knowledge. It means you don't have to navigate a long list alone.
With online tutoring, learning happens conveniently from your home in york, fitting around school, sports, or family time. This means access to the very best tutors from across the UK, not just those physically nearby. If the first tutor isn't quite the right fit, we’ll happily rematch your child and cover that initial session, ensuring you find the perfect partner for their learning journey.

Bringing History to Life
I have a strong, passionate and extensive interest in History. I believe that rather than it be a stodgy subject full of dates and events, it’s actually a living thing as it’s about people, how they thought what they thought and why they thought it and how all that impacts us today. My specialist interest lies in 19th and 20th Century History particularly the First World War - I visit the battlefields of France and Belgium at least twice a year. It's something I think anyone should undertake at least just once to try and appreciate the magnitude of what took place there - it's a moving experience. I a...

Find a tutor Sophie Isabella H
My daughter has been working with Sophie for just a few weeks, and we are already so impressed! Sophie is such a lovely tutor. Sophie is supporting my daughter with her GCSE English. Her lessons are thoughtful, well planned and genuinely tailored to Daisy’s individual needs. She has a wonderfully clear, supportive and encouraging approach, and we’ve already seen a real difference in Daisy’s confidence with English. It’s so lovely to see her beginning to believe in herself more. Sophie is patient, kind and clearly really cares about helping her students succeed. We feel very lucky to have found her and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her!

Ameela R
Ameela tutored my daughter in English language and literature. She was given a weekly task which they went through together and Ameela provided her with invaluable skills in essay structures and exam technique. She really helped my daughter understand what the examiners are looking for and had been struggling to get above 7s before her tutoring started. She got two 9s and definitely has Ameela to thank for helping her see what she had to do to get there. Thanks so much! Definitely recommend!
