Having Wafaa as my AQA A-level Physics tutor finally allowed me to access my full potential. As many other physicists, I was stuck in the boundary between grades Cs and Bs and I knew I could do better, but I was completely lost. Each session served both as a lesson in physics and as a lesson in critical thinking, which is so much more important than I anticipated. They've helped me actually understand all the tricky topics, rather than just memorise them. Each session was tailored to me and my needs, even if I needed help in a Maths paper! In the end I went up from a grade C in my year 12 mocks to an A on results day, which wouldn't have been possible otherwise. When I was at school I had a really big problem. I was not very good at maths. Me and my mum would sit every day when she could to help. But she had lots of work and she said “let’s get a tutor”. I was not very keen at first. Then, my mum found a tutor. Katie! I was a bit nervous but when I got into the lesson I was happy. I told Katie my problem and for lots of weeks, on Tuesdays, we worked. She would give me homework that I actually understood. In lessons she would help me whenever I was stuck. She would be kind and say things like “do you need any help?” and she explained it to me until I understood it. She is the first but best tutor I have ever had!!! Thank you!
