Nigel Q
My 15-year-old son is working through the GCSE Spanish with Nigel. I am very relieved to have found such a good teacher. He is clear and thorough, and he encourages him throughout the lessons. It is clear that Nigel knows the syllabus well and is an experienced teacher, which in my opinion is very important for the exams. Most importantly, my son enjoys the lessons and thinks Nigel is an excellent teacher.
I also rate this site 5 stars. It is clear and simple to use.

Brilliant Spanish tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
My child wants to apply to a competitive sixth form like Northgate or Kesgrave. Can a tutor help?
Absolutely. Many of our tutors are experienced in helping students build the strong academic profile needed for competitive sixth form applications. They can focus on securing those top 7-9 grades in Spanish, which can make a real difference to your child's overall application.
We're hoping for a place at a top university like UEA or Cambridge. How can Spanish tutoring support this goal?
A strong grade in a language like Spanish is highly valued by top universities. A tutor can help your child develop a deeper understanding of the subject, which not only boosts their grade but also prepares them for the rigour of university-level study and strengthens their personal statement.
How do I choose the right Spanish tutor for my child?
It's easy to find the perfect match. You can read detailed tutor profiles, watch their introductory videos, and check verified reviews from other parents. We recommend messaging a few tutors to discuss your child's specific goals before booking to ensure you find the best fit.
What happens if we don't click with the first tutor?
We want to make sure you find the perfect match for your child. If the first lesson isn't quite right, just email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk, and we will cover the cost of your first session with a new tutor. It’s our First Lesson Guarantee.
How much does online Spanish tutoring cost?
Our expert tutors set their own hourly rates, which are clearly displayed on their profiles. This allows you to find an experienced, high-quality tutor that fits your family's budget, with no hidden fees or contracts.
Are all your tutors background-checked?
Yes, your child's safety is our top priority. Every single one of our tutors has been interviewed and has passed a background check. We're very selective and only accept 1 in every 8 tutors who apply to join us.
How does online tutoring work?
All lessons take place in our purpose-built online classroom, which features video chat, an interactive whiteboard, and a space to share documents. All your child needs is a laptop or computer with a webcam and a stable internet connection.
How quickly will I see an improvement in my child's grades?
It varies for each child, but the one-to-one focus means progress can be seen quickly. Many parents tell us they notice a boost in their child's confidence after just a few sessions. In fact, 90% of our students improve by at least one grade.
Can tutoring help my child feel more confident in Spanish?
Yes, this is one of the biggest benefits of tutoring. A great tutor creates a safe, supportive space for your child to ask questions they might be too shy to ask in class. This personalised attention helps them understand tricky topics and builds their self-belief.
Do you only offer academic subjects, or could my child learn something like guitar or coding too?
While we love helping with academic subjects like Spanish, we also have amazing tutors for a huge range of skills and hobbies! From learning the guitar or piano to coding in Python, you can find an expert to help your child explore their passions.
How many lessons will my child need?
This is completely up to you and your child. Most students have one lesson a week, but you can arrange more frequent sessions during busy exam periods or fewer for general support. You can discuss the best approach directly with your chosen tutor.
