Janette W
Janette is an amazing teacher, she has really supported me with my assignments in my final year. I couldn’t have asked for a better tutor. I have felt a lot more relaxed with her support and have learned a lot from her. I couldn’t recommend her enough as I don’t think I would have completed my assignments without her!

Brilliant Psychology tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
My child is at Bilborough College and finds the pace intense. Can a tutor tailor sessions to their specific A-Level syllabus?
Yes, absolutely. That's the real benefit of one-to-one tutoring. Tutors create a personal learning plan that matches your child's specific syllabus and pace. It gives them a calm space, away from classroom pressures, to ask questions and consolidate what they've learnt.
With the University of Nottingham demanding A*AA, can a tutor really help bridge the gap to that level?
Definitely. Our tutors, many of whom are top university graduates themselves, excel at this. They focus on the higher-level skills needed for A* grades, like critical evaluation, sophisticated essay structure, and applying theories to unfamiliar scenarios – exactly what top universities are looking for.
Are your tutors familiar with the challenges students in Nottingham face when applying to competitive universities?
Whilst our tutors are based across the UK, they have extensive experience supporting students with ambitious university goals. They understand the pressures of applying to Russell Group universities like Nottingham and can provide the targeted academic support needed to build a strong application.
What if my child doesn't click with their first Psychology tutor?
It's so important that they feel comfortable and supported. We know that the right personal connection makes all the difference. If it's not the perfect fit for any reason, just email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover your first session with a new tutor.
Is online tutoring really as effective as meeting someone in person?
We find it's even more effective for many families. Online lessons use interactive whiteboards and resource sharing, making them highly engaging. Plus, it gives your Nottingham-based child access to a much wider pool of subject specialists from across the UK, not just whoever lives nearby.
How do you ensure your Psychology tutors are high quality?
We're very selective. Only 1 in 8 applicants make it onto our platform. Every tutor is interviewed by a real person, has their qualifications checked, and undergoes a background check. We choose tutors who are not only experts in their field but also passionate and caring mentors.
My child is also studying Biology and Sociology. Can we find tutors for other A-Level subjects?
Yes, we cover over 300 subjects! From core academic A-Levels to learning a musical instrument or a new language, you can find expert online tutors for almost anything your child is interested in. It's easy to manage different tutors for different subjects through your account.
How much does online Psychology tutoring for a student in Nottingham cost?
Our tutors set their own hourly rates based on their experience and qualifications, so you can find someone who fits your budget. Prices are clearly displayed on each tutor's profile, so there are no hidden costs. You can browse freely to find the right match.
My child's schedule is packed with coursework and other activities. How flexible is booking?
Incredibly flexible. That's one of the biggest advantages for busy families. You're not tied to a set time each week. You can schedule sessions around your child's timetable, whether that's after school, on weekends, or even during study leave for some extra exam prep.
Can we get help with specific parts of the Psychology A-Level, like research methods?
Of course. Lessons are completely tailored to your child. If they're acing social influence but struggling with research methods, their tutor will focus entirely on that until they feel confident. You only pay for the support you need, when you need it.
What technology do we need for online lessons to work?
It's very simple. All your child needs is a laptop or computer with a webcam, a microphone, and a stable internet connection. Our online classroom is designed to be intuitive and easy to use, so you can focus on the learning.
My child is also studying Biology and Sociology. Can we find tutors for other A-Level subjects?
Most sessions are one hour long, as this is usually the perfect amount of time to cover a topic in depth without losing focus. However, you can discuss different session lengths with your tutor if your child would benefit from something shorter or longer.
