Brilliant Psychology tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
My child is at Robert Smyth Academy. Can a tutor help strengthen their application for a competitive Psychology degree at somewhere like the University of Leicester?
Absolutely. That's a key reason many parents in Market Harborough come to us. Our tutors, many of whom have experience with university admissions, can help your child go beyond the syllabus. They focus on developing critical thinking and essay-writing skills that admissions tutors look for, helping them build the strong academic profile needed for competitive courses.
How can an online tutor help my child in Market Harborough if they aren't physically here?
This is the big advantage of online tutoring! Instead of being limited to tutors nearby, your child gets access to the best Psychology specialists from across the UK. Whether they need an expert in research methods from Manchester or a cognitive psychology whiz from Bristol, they can connect with them right from your home in Market Harborough. It's about finding the perfect expert, not the closest one.
Is online tutoring as effective as in-person?
Yes, and for many, it's even better. Our online classroom has interactive whiteboards, file sharing, and video chat, making lessons engaging and collaborative. Plus, the convenience is a huge bonus – no travel time, less stress, and all the lesson recordings are saved for your child to review anytime. With over 4,100 positive reviews, we know it works.
What if my child doesn't click with their first Psychology tutor?
We know that the right relationship is crucial for learning. That's why we have our first lesson guarantee. If you don't feel the first tutor is the perfect fit, just email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover the cost of your first session with a new tutor.
Are your Psychology tutors qualified to teach A-Level?
Yes. We have a rigorous selection process and only accept 1 in 8 tutors who apply. Many of our Psychology tutors are qualified teachers, examiners, or hold degrees in the subject. You can view each tutor's full profile, including their experience and qualifications, to find the perfect match for your child's A-Level studies.
My child struggles with writing essays in Psychology. Can a tutor help with that specific skill?
Definitely. This is one of the most common areas where our tutors provide support. They can break down essay structure, teach how to build a strong argument, use evidence effectively, and master the specific terminology needed to achieve higher marks. It's this focused, skill-based support that often makes a huge difference.
How much do online Psychology tutors cost for students in Market Harborough?
Our tutors set their own prices based on their experience and qualifications, so there's a range to suit different budgets. Prices start from around £20 per hour. You can see each tutor's rate clearly on their profile, so you can find excellent support that works for your family.
How flexible are the lesson times?
Very flexible. Because our tutors are based all over the UK, you can find sessions to fit around your family's schedule, whether it's evenings, weekends, or during school holidays. You arrange times directly with your chosen tutor to find a slot that works for everyone.
How do you make sure tutors are safe to work with my child?
Your child's safety is our absolute priority. Every single tutor on our platform must pass a background check and provide professional and character references before they can start teaching. We are committed to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment.
What happens in a typical online Psychology lesson?
Every lesson is tailored to your child's needs. It might involve going over a tricky topic from class, working through past exam questions, planning an essay, or practising research methods. Tutors use the interactive whiteboard to map out ideas and share resources, making it a dynamic and focused learning experience.
Beyond Psychology, what other subjects do you offer?
We offer tutoring in over 300 subjects! So if your child needs support in their other A-Levels like Biology or Sociology, or wants to learn a completely new skill like coding, a musical instrument, or a new language, we have expert tutors ready to help.

Our tutors provide regular feedback to both you and your child. They'll discuss goals, highlight areas of improvement, and celebrate successes. You'll be able to see your child's growing confidence not just in their grades, but in the way they talk about the subject.
