Amy W
Amy W is very concise and extremely helpful when getting complicated information wrapped around your head. She is super friendly and easy to talk to, which makes sessions comfortable and stress-free. The only hiccup is the wifi choosing to bug out, now and then. But, otherwise, Amy gives a very excellent tutoring experience.

Brilliant Psychology tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
My child wants to apply to UCL or King's College London for Psychology. Can a tutor help with this?
Yes, absolutely. Many of our Psychology tutors are graduates from top universities themselves and have experience helping students with their applications. They can provide invaluable guidance on personal statements and interview preparation, helping your child demonstrate the passion and insight that competitive universities like UCL and King's are looking for.
How can a tutor help my child stand out in the competitive London university application process?
A tutor can help your child develop a deeper, more critical understanding of Psychology that goes beyond the A-Level syllabus. This allows them to write a much more compelling personal statement that showcases genuine intellectual curiosity, which is a key differentiator for top universities.
How do I choose the right Psychology tutor for my child?
You can view detailed profiles for each tutor, including their qualifications, experience, and reviews from other parents. We recommend shortlisting a few and sending them a message to discuss your child's specific needs before booking. We're very selective, accepting only 1 in 8 tutors who apply, so you can be sure you're choosing from the best.
How much do online Psychology tutors cost in London?
Our tutors set their own hourly rates, which are clearly displayed on their profiles. Prices vary based on a tutor's experience and qualifications, giving you a wide range of options to suit your budget.
What if my child doesn't click with their first Psychology tutor?
We know that the right fit is crucial for success. That's why we have our First Lesson Guarantee. If you don't get on with your tutor, email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover your first session with a new tutor.
Are all the tutors background-checked?
Yes, your child's safety is our top priority. Every tutor on our platform has passed an enhanced DBS check and has been personally interviewed by our team to ensure they are a brilliant and trusted educator.
How does online tutoring work?
Our online classroom has all the tools your child needs for a great lesson, including a shared whiteboard, video chat, and file sharing. All your child needs is a laptop or computer and a stable internet connection. It's a convenient and effective way to learn, right from your home.
Can a tutor help improve my child's A-Level Psychology grade?
Yes, they can. Our data shows that 90% of students who use Tutorful improve by at least one grade. A tutor can identify areas where your child needs extra support, build their confidence, and teach them effective revision and exam techniques.
My child is finding specific topics like research methods difficult. Can a tutor focus on those?
Of course. The great thing about one-to-one tutoring is that every session is tailored to your child's needs. They can spend as much time as needed on tricky topics like research methods or statistical testing until your child feels confident.
How long is a typical tutoring session?
Most sessions are one hour long, as this is usually the most effective timeframe for keeping students engaged. However, you can discuss your needs directly with your tutor, as many are flexible and can offer longer sessions if required.
How can a tutor help my child with their Psychology personal statement?
A tutor can act as an expert sounding board, helping your child structure their statement, articulate their ideas clearly, and highlight their passion for the subject. They can suggest wider reading and discussion points that demonstrate a level of engagement that will impress admissions tutors.
How does online tutoring work?
We offer tutoring in over 300 subjects! While we're here to help with academic subjects from the 11+ to degree level, we also have brilliant tutors who can teach practical skills and hobbies, from learning an instrument like the guitar to coding in Python.
