Amy W
Amy W is very concise and extremely helpful when getting complicated information wrapped around your head. She is super friendly and easy to talk to, which makes sessions comfortable and stress-free. The only hiccup is the wifi choosing to bug out, now and then. But, otherwise, Amy gives a very excellent tutoring experience.

Brilliant Psychology tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
My child's at Frome College. Can a tutor really help them compete for places at Russell Group universities?
Absolutely. That's precisely where our tutors excel. They provide targeted support on A-Level exam technique and in-depth subject knowledge that can make all the difference in achieving the A* or A grades required by top universities. They act as a mentor, building the skills and confidence needed to stand out.
Is online tutoring as effective as driving to Bath or Bristol for an in-person session?
We believe it's even more effective. Your child gets access to a UK-wide network of specialist Psychology tutors, not just whoever is local. Plus, you save hours of travel time and stress. Our interactive online classroom has all the tools needed for a rich, engaging lesson, from whiteboards to document sharing.
Can a tutor help my child develop the independent study skills they'll need for university?
Yes, this is a core part of what our tutors do. They don't just provide answers; they teach your child how to analyse texts, structure arguments, and critique research on their own. This fosters the independent learning habits that are essential for success in higher education.
What happens if my child doesn't click with their first Psychology tutor?
Finding the right personality match is crucial, and we want you to be completely happy. If the first session isn't a perfect fit, just email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover the cost of your first lesson with a new tutor.
How do you ensure your Psychology tutors are high quality?
We have a rigorous selection process. Every tutor is interviewed, background-checked, and has to prove their subject mastery and teaching ability. We're proud to say we only accept 1 in every 8 tutors who apply, so you can be sure your child is learning from the best.
How much does online Psychology tutoring cost?
Prices vary depending on the tutor's experience and qualifications. You can see each tutor's hourly rate clearly on their profile. There are no hidden fees or long-term contracts, so you have complete flexibility to find someone who fits your budget.
My child also takes Biology. Can we find a tutor who understands the links between the two subjects?
Yes, many of our tutors have expertise across multiple subjects. When you search, you can filter for tutors who teach both Psychology and Biology. This can be incredibly helpful for understanding topics like biopsychology and strengthening your child's overall scientific understanding.
How long will it be before we see an improvement in my child's grades?
Every student learns at a different pace, but consistency is key. Many parents tell us they see a boost in their child's confidence within just a few sessions. Our data shows that 90% of students who use Tutorful regularly improve by at least one full grade.
Can a tutor also help with my child's UCAS personal statement for Psychology?
Many of our A-Level tutors have extensive experience guiding students through the university application process. They can provide excellent feedback on personal statements, helping your child articulate their passion for Psychology in a compelling way. You can check individual tutor profiles for this experience.
What technology do we need for an online lesson?
It's very simple. All you need is a laptop or computer with a webcam, a microphone, and a stable internet connection. Our online classroom is browser-based, so there's no complicated software to download. It's designed to be easy and intuitive to use.
Do you offer tutoring for subjects other than A-Level Psychology?
We do! We have expert tutors across more than 300 subjects, from primary school maths and English right through to degree-level support and professional qualifications. We also have tutors for hobbies and musical instruments.
My child also takes Biology. Can we find a tutor who understands the links between the two subjects?
It's straightforward. Just use the search function on our website to see all the available online Psychology tutors. You can read their profiles, check reviews from other parents, and send messages to your favourites to ask questions before booking. You can then schedule your first lesson directly through the platform.
