Amy W is very concise and extremely helpful when getting complicated information wrapped around your head. She is super friendly and easy to talk to, which makes sessions comfortable and stress-free. Brilliant Psychology tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
My child is at Stafford College aiming for a competitive university. How can a tutor help them stand out?
This is exactly where a tutor can be a brilliant partner. They go beyond just securing the A-Level grade. They work with your child to develop critical analysis skills, explore topics outside the syllabus, and build the kind of intellectual curiosity that shines through in personal statements and interviews for universities like Keele and Birmingham.
Are your tutors familiar with the A-Level Psychology specifications used at colleges like King Edward VI?
Absolutely. Many of our tutors are experienced teachers and examiners who are deeply familiar with the AQA, OCR, and Edexcel specifications taught across the UK, including in Stafford's colleges. During your initial messages, you can confirm they have experience with your child's specific exam board.
Is online tutoring as effective as in-person for a subject like Psychology?
We find it's even more effective for many families. Your child can learn from the comfort of home in Stafford, and you get access to a much wider choice of specialist tutors from across the UK, not just whoever happens to live locally. Our interactive whiteboard makes discussing complex ideas and studies just as engaging as being in the same room.
How do we find a tutor who can provide that 'super-curricular' depth you mention?
Many of our tutors have postgraduate degrees or are active researchers in their field. You can read their detailed profiles, check their qualifications, and see reviews from other parents. Use the messaging system to ask them specifically how they would help your child explore Psychology beyond the A-Level curriculum.
What happens if my child doesn't click with their first tutor?
Finding the right personality match is crucial, and we completely understand that. That's why we have our first lesson guarantee. If it doesn't feel like the right fit, just email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover the cost of your first session with a new tutor.
How much does online A-Level Psychology tutoring cost for a student in Stafford?
Our tutors set their own rates, typically starting from around £25 per hour for A-Level study. You can filter tutors by price on our website to find an experienced, background-checked tutor who fits your budget perfectly.
What qualifications do your Psychology tutors have?
We have a very selective process, accepting only 1 in 8 tutors who apply. Our Psychology tutors are typically subject-specialist graduates, with many holding Master's degrees or PhDs. Many are also qualified teachers or have extensive experience in getting students ready for university.
My child's schedule is already packed. How flexible are the lessons?
This is a key benefit of online tutoring. Our tutors manage their own schedules, offering sessions during evenings, weekends, and school holidays. You can arrange times that fit around your child's college commitments and your family life, without any travel time.
How will I know if my child is making real progress?
Your tutor will provide regular feedback on your child's progress. You'll see their confidence grow as they start to tackle more complex topics and articulate their ideas more clearly. Many parents tell us the first sign is their child actually starting to enjoy the subject!
What technology do we need for the online lessons?
It's very simple. All you need is a laptop or computer with a webcam, a microphone, and a stable internet connection. Our custom-built online classroom has an interactive whiteboard and video chat, so there's no complex software to install.
My child is also studying Sociology. Do you offer tutors for other subjects?
Yes, we do! We have expert tutors across more than 300 subjects, from core academic subjects like Sociology and Biology to hobbies and practical skills like learning a musical instrument or coding. You can find all the support your child needs in one place.
What qualifications do your Psychology tutors have?
Many of our A-Level tutors have extensive experience guiding students through the UCAS process. They can be an invaluable sounding board for personal statement ideas, helping your child structure their arguments and showcase their passion for Psychology effectively.
