"I have just started lessons with Ben (on #4 I think). I am on the mature end of the mature student scale. Ben is a very student-centred teacher. He is always ready to follow where the student leads but at the same time quite clearly has a structure and a whole “box of tricks” at his disposal to keep the lesson going in the right direction. The lessons are very enjoyable and productive at the same time. We have a bit of a joke and some joshing but still manage to have covered quite a bit of ground by the end of the lesson. He is clearly a very competent musician but is able to combine his practical experience with the tools required to bring along an absolute beginner like me. Being PGCE qualified I am certain that Ben would be a great asset to any National Curriculum student or NC teaching programme. Speaking for myself I could not be more pleased with having found Ben. I was a little tentative at first at how effective Skype lessons would be but I was converted from day one to being a fan of this medium. It works very well indeed and I look forward each week to every new lesson. I even do my homework! Highly recommend."
