My son, who has ADHD, had always struggled with maths and we had been through several tutors (with them withdrawing their services) before I found Eppie. She was skilled at getting him to engage and stay focused as he studied for his GCSE and kept him motivated. Her style is very pleasant and encouraging but gently firm. While he still did not enjoy maths he did have a good rapport with Eppie and went from scoring 2 to, I'm pleased to say, getting a 4 to pass his GCSE.

I can't begin to express how exceptional Liam is as a tutor. I had always assumed myself to not be naturally 'gifted' in Mathematics and hence couldn't succeed, happening to stumble upon this tutor and hoping that his credentials would meet the mark. Liam exceeded our expectations in every way: he was full of intuitive explanations, relentless support, consistent attention for areas of confusion, meticulous session planning and most importantly – a highly warm and patient approach which is unmistakable regardless the time of day, despite his understandably tight schedule. Given this, after only a matter of months, he had dispelled any doubts completely (I felt – and so did teachers – that I had a ‘talent’, even if this was learnt) and managed to kindle a passion for the subject that made every experience of Maths feel a calm and intriguing experience – both within sessions and in the classroom. I even felt inspired to pursue a career in Physics, illustrating how deep this new confidence was embedded! I must admit that I’ve never met a teacher in this subject who is so passionate about his work and committed to helping their students: even going lengths, when I was interested, to clarify concepts beyond the standard syllabus at a GCSE level to share this passion with a new generation. In the end, I achieved a Grade 8 in Mathematics (HT, Edexcel) – just missing the mark off the 9 – and the familiarisation I felt with exam questions during my sessions with Liam helped every step of the way. A truly irreplaceable tutor that I would recommend for anybody feeling ‘in the dumps’ about their understanding or wants to polish their skills further – Liam’s professionalism and experience cater to all learner types!

Mohammed Q has absolutely transformed my child's maths experience. In Year 10, my child barely scraped a 6 in his End of Year mocks. After that, we contacted Mr Mohammed and had him throughout Year 11. My son managed to get a Grade 8 on his next mock, being just a couple of marks off a 9. My child just got his GCSE results back: he got a 7 but was very close to an 8. Not only did he improve my son's grade, but he also had a huge effect on my son's approach to study and mindset, which carried over to the rest of his subjects.
