A phenomenal tutor, she did wonders for me academically and guided me emotionally with preparation for my tests. Lorraine knew and was very good on keeping the speculation and mark scheme fresh in my mind for my German A level. She was great at and on top of tackling each bullet point of how to get a great grade, and she came up with methods and ideas to prep me which I would have never thought of. Lorraine prepped me with my timing as well, and got me to have the subject material fresh in my mind, and practice I love how Lorraine always asks for three takeaways from the lesson at the end of each lesson. This causes you think about what you did learn and how you have progressed on the tutor journey, and keeps you on track and also keeps you and Lorraine on the same page of where your development stage is. On the first meeting she clearly stated how she wanted our session to be everything and to fulfill everything that I wanted out of the lesson. Lorraine always met this standard and guided me when I didn't know exactly what I needed help on, she went above this standard most times and our sessions continued to be spectacular. She is really good at getting to know the student, what their personality and character is and what their goals are like as well as how they function, or how their mind functions. Lorraine is excellent at matching her teaching to the student and at appealling to the academic needs of the individual as best as she can through knowing them and how their mind thinks. When she first went on call with me, I immediately fellt the human connection with her, that she was there, teaching and guiding me and that we will get things done. Her lessons are automatically locked in, something that is usually hard to achieve in online meetings, but comes as second nature to Lorraine and her lessons with me. This intensity (met with compassion) is something I hadn't experienced ever before on a zoom call. Lorraine's holistic approach to teaching includes that she always gave great advice for mindset and approaching the test, which really makes her be the extra mile compared to other tutors. You really feel like you know the test and what is needed. She is very assertive and a great authority figure, and is SO compassionate - she is everything you would want and need in a tutor, and serves to even more than what you think you need. Lorraine helped me a tremendous amount and I will always remember her as an AMAZING tutor. She finds a way to fit with the students so well, and what truly sets her out from the rest of tutors is that she tailors a unique approach to the individual student to meet their needs. Before almost every lesson, I would be anxious and not know what the plan was of the lesson, if I needed to plan something, and I didn't know the priority of which things I needed to work on. My lessons with Lorraine always always ended in a productive way that I did not even see coming, and every lesson surprised me on how productive it was and what I needed help with, when I was formerly not sure about what the plan is. Lessons with Lorraine are always productive, she knows the students and their capability so well, and she guides them in the best direction for the test. She truly just cares about the student and is highly efficient at the same time, she really works wonders. Lorraine guides the student to a really healthy relationship and approach to the test, alongside curating a specific method and teaching to the individual, in making sure to be efficient and fulfill all the criterion for an A grade.

My daughter has been tutored by Sarah for her AS German exams. Sarah has been amazing, she knows the AQA specification in great depth, she has been so supportive and has really pushed my daughter and hopefully she gets a great grade in August! Sarah is very friendly and approachable, and she is highly skilled with lots of experience and is always happy to tailor her lessons to the student’s strengths and weaknesses. My son started with Harriet after receiving 2 in his German mocks in January. He worked with her every week to the point when his second mock came in Marts he got a 7. Thrilled and with new confidence he has now finished his GCSE’s and are looking forward to the result in August.
