Sophie is a fantastic teacher with an innovative style that keeps my children interested and actively involved in lessons. She uses the world around her to involve the children in learning e.g. when learning colours the children are taught how to say the colour in German, then asked to point out something that is that colour. In their first lesson she discussed how they could travel to Germany, by boat, by train or by plane, then taught them how to say this in German. My children usually struggle to maintain concentration, however, this has not been a problem with Sophie’s teaching style and they look forward to each lesson.

I had 3 lessons with Dessy on the days leading up to my A Level German speaking exam. With her help, my confidence increased significantly - previously, I had been extremely anxious about my exam. Dessy gave me some brilliant tips towards improving my fluency and sophistication of speech, and consequently on the day of the exam I didn't feel nearly as nervous as I thought I would!
