Richard H
Richard has been very helpful in the lead up to my A-Level Geography mocks - in 3 sessions we went over potential exam questions for the whole of the physical paper and the way he explains what the question is asking and the concepts within the specification is really useful! The way he teaches makes him easy to understand and to remember what he has said even after leaving the session! I would recommend him to anyone at any level of Geography as he is so clear and encouraging.

Brilliant Geography tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
My child hopes to apply to a competitive sixth form like The Blue Coat School. Can a tutor help with this specific goal?
Absolutely. Our tutors are experienced in helping students aim for top grades at GCSE. They can work with your child to master both the content and the exam technique needed to stand out, helping them build a strong application for the A-Levels and sixth form of their choice.
How can an online tutor understand Liverpool's unique geography for case studies?
Many of our expert Geography tutors specialise in human and physical geography topics that are perfectly illustrated by Liverpool's landscape. They can use online tools, maps, and data to explore local examples like the Mersey Estuary or urban regeneration projects, making the curriculum feel relevant and easier for your child to grasp.
Is online tutoring as effective as meeting a tutor in person?
Yes, and for many families, it's even better. Online tutoring offers incredible flexibility, fitting around your busy life. Crucially, it gives your child in Liverpool access to the best tutors across the entire UK, not just whoever lives nearby. With interactive whiteboards and shared resources, it's a dynamic and engaging way to learn.
What happens if we don't click with the first tutor?
We know that the right personal connection is vital. That's why we have our first lesson guarantee. If you don't get on with your first tutor for any reason, just email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover your first session with a new tutor.
My child has lost all confidence in Geography. How can a tutor help?
This is something we see all the time, and it's where one-to-one tutoring really shines. A tutor provides a safe, encouraging space for your child to rebuild their confidence step-by-step. They'll celebrate small wins and break down big topics until your child starts to believe in their own ability again.
How much do online Geography tutors cost?
Our tutors set their own hourly rates, which you can see clearly on their profiles. Prices vary based on experience and level of study, from GCSE to A-Level and beyond. This allows you to find an amazing, qualified tutor who also fits your family's budget.
Do you only offer tutors for core academic subjects?
Not at all! Whilst we have fantastic tutors for Maths, English, Science, and Geography, we also offer support in hundreds of other areas. From learning a musical instrument or a new language to coding or art, we're here to support all of your child's learning passions.
How are your tutors vetted?
We're very selective because your child's education is so important. We only accept 1 in 8 tutors who apply. Every tutor is interviewed, has their ID and qualifications checked, and must provide a valid DBS certificate, so you can be sure your child is learning from a trusted professional.
What equipment does my child need for online tutoring?
It's very simple. All your child needs is a laptop or computer, a stable internet connection, and a webcam with a microphone. Our online classroom has all the tools they'll need, like an interactive whiteboard, built right in.
Can a tutor help my child with both physical and human geography?
Yes, that's a huge benefit of one-to-one tutoring. Tutors can identify which specific areas your child finds most challenging—whether it's the scientific concepts of physical geography or the essay skills for human topics—and tailor their sessions to close those gaps.
How do we find the right Geography tutor for our child?
You can use the filters on our site to find tutors with experience in the specific area your child needs, such as GCSE exam preparation. You can read reviews from other parents, watch introductory videos, and message tutors beforehand to find the perfect partner for your child's learning.
Do you only offer tutors for core academic subjects?
Of course. We have expert online tutors across more than 300 subjects, including Maths. You can find a dedicated Maths specialist on our platform to support your child in the same convenient, online way. Many families use Tutorful for several subjects.
