A Christmas present from my husband initially 2 hours of lessons. I hadn't played for years and Colin has managed to build my confidence to believe in myself. It's easy to get discouraged practicing on your own and trying to get the motivation to get my lip back in. I've only had 2.5hrs of lessons and already I'm hitting notes I didn't know were possible for the flugelhorn. Colin is patient and encouraging. I thought I sounded like I'm strangling a cat but he recognised when I hit the note and all the things i did right. My husband has noticed a huge improvement since I first began my lessons with Colin and he knows very little about brass instruments or music but he recognises what sounds good and bad and what is an improvement.
