Jen H
I would like to say a massive thank you to Jen, who has helped me through one of my toughest years at university. I had some obstacles thrown in my way but with the help of Jen and her dedication I was able to pass my final dissertation with flying colours. I honestly can’t thank Jen enough for taking the time to sit and work through my whole dissertation from top to bottom. She was able to plan her lessons around times that suited me, always showing up with new ideas and advice that helped me get to where I am today. Without Jen’s help I honestly believe I would still be in the same place I was over a year ago!! A thank you doesn’t even do the hard work Jen put in as justice!!

Brilliant Essay Writing tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
My child attends Cedars/Vandyke. Can a tutor help them compete with students from Buckinghamshire grammar schools?
Absolutely. Our tutors specialise in helping students develop the sophisticated analytical and structural skills needed to write top-grade essays. They can provide the focused, one-to-one attention to help your child build on their school learning and write with the depth required to stand out.
We're aiming for a Russell Group university. Can a tutor help with the specific essay style needed?
Yes. Many of our tutors are experienced in preparing students for university applications. They can help your child master the critical thinking and nuanced argumentation that admissions tutors at top universities, including those in the Russell Group, are looking for.
How do I choose the right essay writing tutor for my child?
It's easy to find the perfect match. You can watch introductory videos, read reviews from other parents, and check each tutor's qualifications and experience. We recommend messaging a few tutors to discuss your child's specific needs before booking a lesson.
What if my child doesn't click with their first tutor?
We know that the right fit is crucial for learning. That's why we have our First Lesson Guarantee. If you don't get on with your tutor, email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover your first session with a new tutor.
How much do online essay writing tutors in Leighton Buzzard cost?
Our tutors set their own rates, typically starting from £15 an hour. Prices vary based on the tutor's experience and the level of study. You can easily filter by price on our search page to find a great tutor who fits your budget.
How does online tutoring actually work?
It's simple and effective. All lessons take place in our purpose-built online classroom, which features a video chat, an interactive whiteboard, and a document editor. This allows your child and their tutor to collaborate on essays in real-time, just as they would in person.
Are your tutors qualified to help with GCSE and A-Level essays?
Yes, completely. Our tutors are subject-matter experts with extensive experience in the UK curriculum, including GCSE and A-Level specifications. You can view each tutor's qualifications and specific experience on their profile to find the perfect fit for your child's needs.
How can a tutor help my child feel more confident?
Confidence often comes from understanding. In a one-to-one setting, your child has a safe space to ask questions they might not ask in class. By breaking down complex topics and celebrating small wins, our tutors help your child see their own progress, which is a huge confidence booster.
Do you only offer tutoring for academic subjects like essay writing?
Not at all! While we have experts for core subjects from the 11+ right through to degree level, we also have tutors for a huge range of hobbies and skills. Whether your child wants to learn to play the guitar, master coding, or speak a new language, we have a tutor who can help.
How are your tutors vetted?
Your child's safety is our top priority. Every tutor must pass a background check and provide professional or academic references. We interview every tutor to ensure they have the right expertise and a passion for teaching. We're very selective, accepting only 1 in 8 tutors who apply.
Can we get help with specific texts, like Shakespeare or modern poetry?
Of course. The great thing about one-to-one tutoring is that it's completely tailored. Your child's tutor can focus lessons entirely on the specific books, plays, or poems they are studying for their exams, ensuring they understand the material inside and out.
How quickly can we expect to see an improvement?
Every child learns at their own pace, but our personalised approach is designed for progress. Many parents tell us they see a boost in their child's confidence and understanding after just a few sessions. In fact, 90% of our students improve by at least one grade.
