Bringing English to Life
I have a strong, passionate and extensive interest in History. I believe that rather than it be a stodgy subject full of dates and events, it’s actually a living thing as it’s about people, how they thought what they thought and why they thought it and how all that impacts us today. My specialist interest lies in 19th and 20th Century History particularly the First World War - I visit the battlefields of France and Belgium at least twice a year. It's something I think anyone should undertake at least just once to try and appreciate the magnitude of what took place there - it's a moving experience. I a...

Ruth M
My son Jacob is having a great experience with the English tutoring with Ruth. The lessons were clear, engaging and tailored to his level and needs. The tutor is patient, supportive, and explains everything in a way that was easy to understand. With an extremely amount of teaching experience this shows through the lessons from the first lesson with Ruth. I feel much more confident with my son having English now in advance for his G.C.S.E next year and would definitely recommend Ruth to others looking for support for their child. Many Thanks, Tara

My son had a great experience with the English tutoring. The lessons were clear, engaging, and tailored to his needs. The tutor was patient, supportive, and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand using different techniques and refering to games he was interested in and other topics to engage in things he understands and learning without knowing hes learning because its fun. My sons feel much more confident with his English now and has started speaking out reading in class which he didnt have the confidence to do before. My son Harry didnt feel like this was a chore either and looked forward to each lesson. i would definitely recommend the tutoring to others. Thanks Scott. Regards Tara
