Zohra M
Enthusiastic Biochemistry Tutor
Hi! I am Zohra and I am currently studying Biochemistry at University. To be completely honest Biology was my least favourite Science out of the three - funnily enough it forms the majority of my degree. It was very challenging in the beginning but I can assure you that it does get easier, only by having patience and consistently putting in hard work!I studied for my A Levels during the pandemic when we had online lessons which was a challenge to get used to but from this experience. I can empathise with the feeling of online studying and working on your own as I have been in your shoes before!...

Brilliant Biochemistry tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
My child goes to Southend High/Westcliff High. Can a tutor help with the demands of a grammar school curriculum?
Absolutely. Many of our tutors have experience supporting students from high-achieving schools. They understand the faster pace and higher expectations, and can tailor their lessons to consolidate challenging topics from the A-Level Chemistry and Biology syllabus, helping your child stay ahead.
Can a tutor help my child prepare for interviews at Russell Group universities for a Biochemistry course?
Yes, many of our tutors are experienced in university admissions support. They can conduct mock interviews, help your child articulate their passion for science, and practice discussing complex biochemical concepts, which is crucial for making a strong impression.
How do I choose the right Biochemistry tutor for my child?
You can watch tutors' introductory videos, read reviews from other parents, and message them directly to discuss your child's needs. Finding someone your child connects with is key, so we make it easy to learn about their teaching style before booking.
What happens if my child doesn't click with their first tutor?
We know that the right fit is crucial for success. That's why we have our First Lesson Guarantee. If for any reason you don't get on with your first tutor, simply email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover your first session with a new tutor.
Are the tutors qualified to teach A-Level and university-level Biochemistry?
Yes. Our tutors have a wide range of experience, from teaching A-Levels to lecturing at universities. You can view each tutor's full qualifications and experience on their profile to find the perfect match for your child's level of study.
How can a tutor help my child feel more confident in Chemistry and Biology?
Confidence often comes from understanding. Our tutors create a safe, one-to-one space where your child can ask questions without feeling embarrassed. By breaking down complex topics into manageable steps, tutors help build mastery and self-belief, which translates into better performance.
How much does online Biochemistry tutoring cost?
Prices vary depending on the tutor's experience and qualifications, but typically range from £25 to £50 per hour. All pricing is clearly displayed on each tutor's profile, so you can find an expert who fits your budget.
How does online tutoring work?
It's simple! All lessons take place in our purpose-built online classroom, which features a two-way interactive whiteboard, video chat, and file sharing. All your child needs is a laptop or computer with a webcam, a microphone, and a stable internet connection.
How do you check your tutors?
We take safety and quality very seriously. All our tutors are background-checked and personally interviewed by our team. We only accept 1 in every 8 tutors who apply, so you can be sure your child is learning from the best.
Do you only offer tutors for academic subjects like Biochemistry?
While we have fantastic tutors for academic subjects from the 11+ right through to degree level, we also offer support in a huge range of other areas! Your child could learn to play the guitar, get started with coding in Python, or even learn a new language.
How often should my child have a tutoring session?
Most students have one session a week, as this consistency helps to build momentum and reinforce learning. However, the frequency is completely up to you and can be arranged directly with your chosen tutor to fit your child's needs and your family's schedule.
How much does online Biochemistry tutoring cost?
