Fakhra is a brilliant Urdu teacher. Starting by introducing everyday language such as describing home and family, she has introduced the fundamental aspects of Urdu. We are now building on this by exploring more complex concepts such as gender specific language and sentence structure. I would recommend Fakhra to both Urdu beginners and those looking to broaden existing skills.

Fatima S
I have been having Urdu lessons from Fatima for 3 weeks now and I could not recommend her tutoring service enough. From the first lesson I felt confident and that she really understood what I wanted to achieve by taking these lessons, every session is broken down so I am able to learn, understand and pronounce the words and phrases correctly. I am now going on to my forth lesson and have already learnt so much I feel more than confident speaking and practising outside of our online lessons. Fatima is an amazing tutor and has so much patience and a lovely way of speaking/teaching and I really do look forward to my upcoming lessons and I trust she will be able to get me to where I want to be with my Urdu.

Brilliant Urdu tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
My child speaks Urdu at home, but struggles with the formal grammar for their GCSE. Can a tutor help with this?
Absolutely. This is a very common situation, and it's exactly where a tutor can make a huge difference. They are experts at bridging the gap between conversational, spoken Urdu and the formal, academic language required for exams. They can provide targeted exercises in grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure to help your child achieve top marks.
Can a tutor help my child get the Urdu GCSE grade they need for the University of Northampton?
Yes, they can. Our tutors are experienced in helping students achieve the grades they need for their chosen path. A strong GCSE in a language like Urdu can strengthen a university application, and a tutor can help your child build the skills and confidence to aim for a top grade like an 8 or 9.
My child wants to go to a respected college in Northampton. Can a strong Urdu GCSE help their application?
Definitely. A good grade in Urdu demonstrates commitment and a valuable linguistic skill that can make your child's college application stand out. A tutor can help them secure the best possible grade to support their ambitions.
How do I choose the best Urdu tutor for my child?
It's a really personal choice. You can read detailed tutor profiles, watch their introduction videos, and check reviews from other parents. We recommend messaging a few to discuss your child's specific needs before booking a lesson to make sure you find the perfect fit.
How much does online Urdu tutoring cost?
Prices vary depending on the tutor's experience and qualifications, but you can set your own budget and filter your search to find someone who fits. All pricing is shown clearly on the tutors' profiles, so there are no hidden surprises.
What happens if we don't get on with the first tutor we try?
We want to make sure you find the right match. With our First Lesson Guarantee, if you don't get on with your tutor, email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover your first session with a new tutor.
How do online lessons actually work?
Our online classroom has everything your child needs for a great lesson, including a shared whiteboard, video chat, and file sharing. All your child needs is a laptop or computer with a webcam, a microphone, and a stable internet connection. It's simple, secure, and effective.
Are all your tutors background-checked?
Yes, your child's safety is our top priority. Every tutor on our platform has passed an ID check and has an up-to-date DBS background check. We also interview every single tutor to ensure they meet our high standards.
Can a tutor help my child feel more confident in their Urdu skills?
Building confidence is at the heart of what our tutors do. The one-to-one attention in a supportive, encouraging environment helps students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, which is how they truly learn and grow in confidence.
Can we get help with specific exam techniques for the Urdu GCSE?
Yes. Our tutors are very familiar with the GCSE exam formats and marking schemes. They can work with your child on time management, how to structure answers, and what examiners are looking for, which can make a real difference to their final grade.
How often should my child have a lesson?
Most families find that one hour a week is ideal for consistent progress. However, the schedule is completely flexible. You can arrange lessons as often as you feel your child needs them, and you can easily adjust this with your tutor as you go.
How do online lessons actually work?
