20 years experience.
I have been making Maths more accessible for a number of years by connecting abstract ideas to examples that make sense in everyday life.I teach Maths, helping learners understand the subject rather than simply memorise methods or copy procedures. The profile does not specify particular year groups, qualifications or exam boards, so my focus is on building a clear understanding of mathematical ideas and developing the confidence to use them.Maths can seem theoretical or dull when there is nothing familiar to relate it to. In our sessions, I use real-life examples to make each topic more meaningful,...

I gain a lot of satisfaction from helping students achieve their goals whether it be studying for exams or to brush up on their conversation skills for a Holiday.I would tailor my approach and lesson plan to the needs of the student. If for example they were studying GCSE Spanish I would use past papers and exercises as resources and examples of the type of activities and questions they can expect.
