My daughter struggled in Year 10. She lost interest in school and her end of year grades reflected this, especially in Religious Education where she had a predicted grade 2. Mr Roderick has been a godsend. I didn’t want my daughter to pass exams and get hugh grades, I wanted her to be interested in the subject, to form her own views and understanding. Mr Roderick’s passion for the subject, the preparation for each classes, impressed my daughter that she looked forward to his classes, ready for a discussion. His style of teaching stimulated my daughter’s interest where she now has a predicted grade 9 and is hoping to get this for her GCSEs and has even thought about doing Philosophy at A’ levels. I want to thank Mr Roderick for his patience, for taking the time to know what interested my daughter and adapting his teaching style, which has proven to be very successful.
