Statistics Tutor, GCSE, A-Level & GMAT Specialist
I have a Bachelors in Mathematics from Bristol, A*s at GCSE and A-Level Maths, and A-Level Further Maths, as well as plenty of experience with teaching online - the online interface on Tutorful is outstanding and my students have achieved top marks through it (see reviews). Tutoring for me is all about patience and practice. I am comfortable explaining something in various ways if my student is not happy with my first take; I enjoy the experience too, helping someone with something they do not completely understand is a rewarding experience in itself. I particularly specialize in tackling the GCSE...

Patient and flexible Statistics tutor
After an engineering career in Electronics and Computing,I became a teacher first of all in 2007.I worked in Further and Higher Education at my local College. I taught Electronics, Maths and other Engineering course modules at Level 3 (BTEC/A Level) and Level 4 (Foundation degree).I left the College in 2012 and went back into the real world of industry until recently.Although I had come to it quite late, I realised that teaching was the best job I had ever had.But now rather than put myself at the mercy of the government and the education system, I decided to try this avenue for getting my teaching...

Amirhossein S
I can't recommend Amirhossein highly enough. He's been extremely professional from day one and has an incredible depth of knowledge. No matter what question I throw at him, he knows exactly how to answer it. He's thorough when going through my work, always points out the changes I need to make, and does it all with such a quick response time that I've never been left waiting.
Honestly, I've never felt so confident in a subject that used to feel really daunting to me. It's thanks to his reassurance and clear explanations that I've learned more about stats working with him than I did in all my previous years of studying. He's incredibly knowledgeable about different programs, how to read and interpret data, and how to report it in the best possible way. It's genuinely been the best learning experience I could have asked for. I could not recommend Amirhossein enough!!!

Ben P
I had a really helpful session with Ben going over time-series analysis and ANOVA modelling. He explained everything clearly, using examples and answered all my questions in detail, which really helped me understand the topics better. He has a lot of knowledge and experience, and a great teacher. I came away feeling much more confident with my coursework after the session. Thanks!

Brilliant Statistics tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
My child is at Bridgwater & Taunton College. Can a tutor tailor lessons to their specific A-Level course?
Absolutely. Our tutors are experienced with the main UK exam boards (like AQA, Edexcel, and OCR). You can discuss your child's specific course content and needs with a tutor before booking to ensure they're the perfect fit to help them succeed.
We're aiming for a top university like Bristol or Exeter. Can we find a tutor who can help my child achieve an A or A*?
Yes, many of our tutors specialise in helping students secure the highest grades for entry into competitive, numerate degree courses. You can view their profiles to see their experience, qualifications, and reviews from other parents who shared the same goal.
How do I choose the best Statistics tutor for my child?
It's easy to find the right match. You can filter tutors by their experience and subject level, watch their introductory videos, and read reviews from other parents. We recommend messaging a few tutors to discuss your child's goals before booking your first session.
How much does online Statistics tutoring cost?
Our tutors set their own hourly rates, so you can find an experienced, background-checked tutor that fits your family's budget. Prices are clearly displayed on each tutor's profile, with no hidden fees.
What happens if my child doesn't get on with their first tutor?
We want to make sure you find the perfect match, which is why we have our First Lesson Guarantee. If you don't get on with your tutor, email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover your first session with a new tutor.
Are all your tutors background-checked?
Yes, your child's safety is our top priority. Every single tutor on our platform has passed an enhanced DBS check and has been personally interviewed by our team. We only accept 1 in 8 tutors who apply, so you can be sure you're choosing from the best.
How can a tutor help if my child has lost confidence in Statistics?
One-to-one tutoring is fantastic for building confidence. In a supportive, patient environment, your child can ask questions freely and work at their own pace. A tutor can break down difficult topics into manageable steps, helping your child experience those 'lightbulb moments' that rebuild their self-belief.
How do the online lessons work?
Our online classroom has everything your child needs for a great lesson, including a shared whiteboard, video chat, and file sharing. It’s a simple and effective way for your child to learn from an expert, right from your home in Bridgwater.
How long are the lessons and how often should my child have them?
Lessons are typically one hour long. Most families find that a regular weekly session works best for consistent progress, but you can arrange a schedule that fits your child's needs and your family's routine directly with your chosen tutor.
Is this just for school subjects, or can my child learn other skills?
We offer tutoring in over 300 subjects! Alongside core academic subjects, your child can learn practical skills like coding or a new language, get help with university applications, or even learn to play a musical instrument like the guitar.
How quickly can we find a tutor and start lessons?
You can find and book a tutor very quickly. Many tutors respond to messages within a few hours, and you could have your first lesson arranged for as early as this week, depending on your and the tutor's availability.
What kind of results can we expect from tutoring?
While every child's journey is unique, our aim is to help them feel more confident and capable. We're proud that 90% of our students improve by at least one grade, and our platform has a 4.6-star rating from over 4,100 customer reviews.
