Experienced Maths and Science Tutor Science and Science
I enjoy Mathematics greatly, having studied both Maths and Further Maths at A-Level, also while I was at sixth form I took part in working as a classroom assistant in Year 8 Maths lessons, which gave me valuable experience at teaching students. I took part in another programme which taught the elderly how to be computer literate, these two experiences have given me very different skills to utilise whilst teaching. In my experience as a one-on-one tutor I have usually found my best strategy is to utilise examples, both ones I work through myself and others I assist my students in working through,...

Hasan currently teaches our daughter Chemistry (Combined Science G.C.S.E) once a week and has been an excellent tutor. He is calm, has very good rapport, is extremely flexible and explains concepts in an interesting and understandable way. Our daughter now understands Chemistry, really enjoys the subject and would potentially have considered it for A-Level had she had better teaching in school over the past few years. I highly rate this tutor.

I started having GCSE science lessons with Uzma. She is always friendly. And it was very useful doing some practice questions together as now I’m starting to understand how the content is applied to questions.

Michael D
Michael is a great teacher for my Y11 son. My son always achieved 7-8 grade during his high school but only after a few months of taking science lessons with Michael he achieved 9 for all his science mock exam subjects! Both his knowledge and confidence is boosted. I highly recommend Michael.

Aaliya B
As a parent, I’m very happy with the support my son has received so far from Aaliya. She is friendly, reliable, and puts in extra time to organise resources for each lesson. She tailors the lessons to my child’s needs and always goes over the work carefully to make sure my child fully understands it. After just a few sessions, I can already see my child becoming more confident. I would definitely recommend her to other parents.

Can a Science tutor help my child get into a Russell Group university like Sheffield or Nottingham?
Absolutely. Our experienced Science tutors can provide the targeted support your child needs to aim for top grades in GCSE and A-Level Science. This stronger academic foundation is incredibly valuable for competitive applications to demanding STEM courses at universities like Sheffield and Nottingham, and for opening doors to excellent local engineering career paths.
How can a Science tutor help my child with the transition from GCSE to A-Level?
The jump from GCSE to A-Level Science can be quite significant. A personal tutor can help bridge this gap by reinforcing foundational knowledge, introducing advanced concepts gradually, and developing the analytical and problem-solving skills essential for A-Level success, ensuring your child feels confident and prepared.
Is tutoring just for school subjects, or can my child learn other skills?
While we excel at academic subjects like Science, Maths, and English, Tutorful offers much more! Your child can also find tutors for a wide range of skills and hobbies, from learning to play the guitar or piano, to mastering coding languages like Python, or even developing specific skills for personal projects. It's all about fostering a love for learning.
What if my child doesn't get on with their Science tutor?
We want you and your child to feel completely comfortable. That's why we offer a First Lesson Guarantee. If you don't get on with your tutor, email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover your first session with a new tutor.
