Academic Russian Course Russian Tutor/Examiner
Students study all aspects of language learning. It is a balanced individually tailored course.
I use super advanced materials and interactive platforms to develop skills.
At each lesson we use phonetic exercises for articulation, grammar practice tests, listening, reading and writing exercises.
Last year all students taking A level exams got either an A or an A*. Since 2010 there has not been a mark lower than A in GCSE and A level exams.
Some students prefer to sit Russian as a Foreign Language tests. They also score quite high in their results.

Patient, passionate, confidence building Russian tutoring
I’m a friendly, patient, and adaptive tutor with a strong passion for helping students build confidence and improve their understanding in a supportive environment. I have experience working with younger students through helping my siblings with their learning, which has taught me how to explain topics clearly, stay patient, and adapt my teaching style to different learning needs and personalities. My teaching approach is calm, engaging, and easy to follow, as I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.In addition, I spent two years t...

Veronika R
I couldn’t recommend Veronika enough! I only started the Russian A-level course in Year 13 and with her help I was able to achieve an A*. As I already speak Russian, my main challenge was getting used to the A-Level course, exam technique and knowing exactly what was expected of me. She was incredibly knowledgeable, supportive and patient and always explained things clearly. She played a huge part in helping me achieve my A*, and I’m so grateful for all her help throughout the year. I would definitely recommend her to anyone doing Russian!

Ekaterina E
Ekaterina is friendly and encouraging and her lessons always feel lively and personal. She brings in real-life examples and cultural context that make learning the language much more interesting! I really enjoy how she mixes conversation practice with grammar and uses different resources like online quizzes, short texts, and discussions. I always come away feeling like I’ve learned something useful! :)

My daughter has been tutored by Rich over the past year for her Russian A Level. She lacked confidence in this subject, particularly in speaking Russian. Rich is a very dedicated teacher. He is friendly, engaging and thorough in his approach. He makes the sessions interesting and relevant. My daughter achieved an A* in her A Level and we are very grateful for all his support. We would highly recommend him as a tutor.

Elina K
Elina's lessons have been very helpful to me for multiple reasons. She's helped me a lot with improving my vocabulary, speaking confidence, and grammar. We've focused equally on all of these things and this has me progressing evenly in all areas.
Elina is very friendly and easy-going. This creates a positive environment where it's easy to learn. She's also a native Russian speaker, and so her understanding of Russian is obviously very advanced. Her English is great too, which makes things easier for a native English speaker like me, as she can translate Russian into English easily.
