Amy W
Amy W is very concise and extremely helpful when getting complicated information wrapped around your head. She is super friendly and easy to talk to, which makes sessions comfortable and stress-free. The only hiccup is the wifi choosing to bug out, now and then. But, otherwise, Amy gives a very excellent tutoring experience.

Brilliant Psychology tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
Can an online tutor really help my child get the A-Level grades needed for a competitive university like Lancaster?
Absolutely. That's our primary goal. Our expert Psychology tutors specialise in A-Level curriculums and know exactly what examiners are looking for. They provide targeted support on everything from essay technique to exam strategy, helping your child in Kendal build the skills and confidence to achieve the high grades required for top university courses.
My child attends Queen Katherine School / Kirkbie Kendal School. Can a tutor align with their specific curriculum?
Yes. Our tutors are experienced with all major exam boards (AQA, OCR, Edexcel). During your first session, the tutor will chat with your child about the topics they're covering at school, their specific challenges, and their goals. This ensures all tutoring is perfectly synchronised with what they're learning in their Kendal classroom.
Is online tutoring as effective as in-person for a subject like Psychology?
Many parents find it's even more effective. Our online classroom has interactive tools like a shared whiteboard, perfect for mapping out theories or planning essays together. Plus, the access it gives students in Kendal to a wider pool of specialist UK tutors, rather than just who's local, is a huge advantage.
What if my child doesn't click with their first tutor?
We know that the right fit is crucial for success. That's why we have our first lesson guarantee. If you don't get on with your first tutor for any reason, just email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover the cost of your first session with a new tutor.
How do you ensure your Psychology tutors are high quality?
We're incredibly selective. Only 1 in 8 applicants make it onto our platform. Every tutor is background-checked, interviewed by our team, and has proven expertise in their subject. We focus on finding tutors who are not only knowledgeable but also passionate and skilled at teaching online.
My child is finding the research methods part of A-Level Psychology really difficult. Can a tutor help with that?
Definitely. This is a very common area where students need extra support. A one-to-one tutor can break down complex statistical concepts, explain experimental design, and run through practice questions until your child feels completely confident with it. This targeted focus can make a huge difference to their overall grade.
How flexible are the tutoring schedules?
Very. You can browse tutors' individual profiles to see their availability and schedule sessions at times that work for your family. Whether it's after school, on weekends, or during holidays, you can find a time that fits around your commitments without any stressful travel.
What technology do we need for online lessons?
It's simple. All you need is a laptop or computer, a stable internet connection, and a webcam with a microphone. Our purpose-built online classroom runs directly in your web browser, so there's no complicated software to install.
How much does online Psychology tutoring cost for students in Kendal?
Our tutors set their own rates, typically starting from around £22 per hour. You can filter tutors by price on our website to find an expert who fits your budget. There are no hidden fees or long-term contracts.
My child is also studying for A-Level Sociology. Do you have tutors for other subjects?
Yes, we do! We have expert tutors across more than 300 subjects, from core academic subjects like maths and English to languages, humanities, and even practical skills like coding or music. You can find all the support your child needs in one place.
How quickly can we find and start lessons with a tutor?
You can get started very quickly. Many of our tutors respond in under an hour. You can browse profiles, message a few tutors to find the perfect fit, and often have your first session booked within 24-48 hours.
How flexible are the tutoring schedules?
This is at the heart of what we do. When a child understands a topic they previously found baffling, their confidence soars. Our tutors are mentors who create a supportive, encouraging space where your child feels safe to ask questions and make mistakes, which is the key to building lasting self-belief.
