Amy W
Amy W is very concise and extremely helpful when getting complicated information wrapped around your head. She is super friendly and easy to talk to, which makes sessions comfortable and stress-free. The only hiccup is the wifi choosing to bug out, now and then. But, otherwise, Amy gives a very excellent tutoring experience.

Brilliant Psychology tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
My child is at Olchfa/Bishopston and worried about getting the A/A* grades for Psychology at Swansea University. Can a tutor really help?
Absolutely. This is exactly where our tutors excel. They can provide that focused, one-to-one attention to hone exam technique, deepen understanding of complex topics, and build the analytical skills needed to push for those top grades. A tutor can be the strategic partner who helps turn potential into the results needed for a competitive course.
Are your tutors familiar with the WJEC A-Level Psychology specification used in many Welsh schools?
Yes. Many of our tutors have experience with all major UK exam boards, including WJEC. When you search, you can filter for tutors who state their experience with the WJEC curriculum, ensuring the support your child receives is perfectly aligned with what they're learning in their Swansea school.
Is online tutoring as effective as in-person for a subject like Psychology?
It is, and for many, it's even better. Our online classroom has interactive whiteboards perfect for mapping out theories and essay plans. The main advantage is access; your child in Swansea can connect with a subject-specialist from anywhere in the UK, rather than being limited to whoever is local. This opens up a much wider pool of expertise.
What happens if my child doesn't get on with their first Psychology tutor?
We know that the right fit is crucial for success. That's why we have a first lesson guarantee. If you don't feel the tutor is the perfect match, just email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover the cost of your first session with a new tutor.
How do you ensure your tutors are high quality?
We're very selective. Every tutor is interviewed, background-checked, and has their qualifications verified. We only accept 1 in every 8 tutors who apply, so you can be confident you're choosing from the very best academic talent in the UK.
What technology does my child need for online lessons?
It's very simple. All your child needs is a laptop or computer with a webcam, a microphone, and a stable internet connection. Our bespoke online classroom runs directly in your browser, so there's no complex software to install.
How much do online Psychology tutors for students in Swansea cost?
Our tutors set their own rates, typically starting from around £25 per hour. Prices vary based on the tutor's experience and level of demand. You can easily filter by price on our platform to find an expert tutor who fits your family's budget.
Can a tutor help with specific A-Level Psychology topics, like biopsychology or schizophrenia?
Definitely. The beauty of one-to-one tutoring is that it can be completely tailored. If your child needs to focus intensely on one challenging module or topic, their tutor can create a series of lessons specifically to build confidence and understanding in that area.
How often should my child have tutoring sessions to prepare for A-Levels?
Most A-Level students find a weekly one-hour session provides the perfect balance. This allows for consistent progress, time to consolidate learning between sessions, and the ability to work through difficult topics without feeling rushed. You can always adjust the frequency with your tutor.
My child is considering a career in clinical psychology. Can a tutor offer guidance on this?
Many of our tutors are university students, postgraduates, or professionals in the field. Whilst their primary role is academic support, their real-world experience can be incredibly inspiring. They can often share insights into university life and career paths, offering mentorship alongside their teaching.
Do you offer tutoring in other subjects besides Psychology?
Yes, we cover over 300 subjects! From core subjects like Maths, English and the Sciences, to languages, humanities, and even practical skills like coding or learning a musical instrument. Whatever your child needs help with, we're here to support them.
How much do online Psychology tutors for students in Swansea cost?
You can get started very quickly. Simply search for your subject, browse our expert tutors' profiles and video introductions, and send a message to the one you feel is the best fit. Many tutors respond within a few hours, and you could have your first lesson booked for this week.
