My daughter, now 11, was until recently tutored by Lowri. She was ok at maths, but under-confident, and therefore not enjoying maths or doing as well as she could. She had one 30-minute lesson a week over several months. Lowri established a good relationship and good communications with my daughter, which created a fun learning atmosphere, and each lesson was tightly focused on whatever my daughter was studying, or was about to study, often involving questions of increasing difficulty and challenges. My daughter achieved a good SATs result - better than she would otherwise have achieved - but the main improvement was in her confidence. She now enjoys maths and values her achievements. We were very pleased when Lowri agreed to continue to tutor my daughter during the first half-term of secondary school, which helped a lot and made the transition smoother. Elizabeth is an excellent tutor who is extremely knowledgeable in Maths, yet breaks the work down so it is understandable. My son is preparing for his Maths GCSE and was a bit apprehensive about having a tutor initially, but Lizzie is a calm, friendly and professional tutor who put him at ease.
