James has been supporting my son with his A-level maths studies. My son has dyslexia and was losing confidence. James tutored him through his final A level year, building his skills and confidence and he has successfully achieved the grades he needed to study for an MEng at university. I can’t thank Jes enough for the skills, encouragement and confidence he gave him. It made all the difference. I wish I had had similar when I was at school. He really appreciated James’ calm and methodical approach and the opportunity to work through questions and concepts at a better pace for him. He enjoyed the sessions from the very beginning. He was really comfortable communicating with James during the sessions which shows James’ approachable manner. James’ sessions are bespoke and the work he puts into preparing them is obvious. This really works well for my son as it caters for his dyslexia. From my point of view, James is an excellent communicator and I’ felt very confident in his approach to the subject and to my son. I highly recommend James as a tutor - our experience has been entirely positive, and could not have been better

Before tuition, I was struggling in both A Level Chemistry and Maths, working at a B grade in each and feeling uncertain about my abilities. The teaching I received was outstanding — every concept was explained with clarity and patience, and lessons were highly interactive, which made difficult topics much easier to understand and remember. He consistently pushed me to think critically and built my confidence with exam-style practice and detailed feedback. Thanks to this, my grades rose to an A in Chemistry and an A* in Maths, and I now have the opportunity to study Medicine at Cambridge.
