My 14-year-old daughter had been getting very upset about Maths lessons, despite having been moved up to the highest set. She felt out of her depth and that she couldn't follow the teacher's way of explaining things. She has suspected autism and often can't think her way around something -she needs it presenting in a totally different way for it to make sense. My Maths isn't strong enough for my explanations to do the trick either - so we were all getting stressed. Now I'm not exactly sure what Dee did as I left them to get on with it, but I do know that things have been so much calmer in our house during the few months of tuition with Dee. The crying over Maths stopped and parents' evening went really well with good feedback from the teacher. My daughter feels she can manage without a tutor now but I won't hesitate to message Dee again if any future problems arise!
