Hi ! My name's Jack and I am a mathematics graduate from the University Of Bristol, aiming to help you achieve your full potential in mathematics. I developed a passion for the subject as a child, and now strive to ignite this passion in others. Having studied maths at school, I understand how maths can be a daunting and foreboding subject, and the teaching of it in schools, as well as the large class sizes neglects the requirements and needs of all students. This can lead to gaps in understanding, a lack of confidence and a dislike for the subject. I aim to help build this foundational understanding...

I enjoy Mathematics greatly, having studied both Maths and Further Maths at A-Level, also while I was at sixth form I took part in working as a classroom assistant in Year 8 Maths lessons, which gave me valuable experience at teaching students. I took part in another programme which taught the elderly how to be computer literate, these two experiences have given me very different skills to utilise whilst teaching. In my experience as a one-on-one tutor I have usually found my best strategy is to utilise examples, both ones I work through myself and others I assist my students in working through,...

Maths tutor
We've had Richard twice and it just keeps getting better. I was pleased that he took time to find out what my daughter needed help with and also he told us about himself. He is friendly but professional and has so much enthusiasm for the subject. I'm looking forward to working with him to improve my daughter's maths grade. Highly recommended.

Leroy A
Maths tutor
After the MOC exams we were concerned our child may not achieve his target set by the school despite him working consistently hard at school. After the first session of Mathematics with Leroy our son had his confidence restored and over the weeks and months it was evident that our son was making progress. This was due to Leroy’s ability to quickly establish the gaps in his subject knowledge , explain multi- step problems in a systematic way and all this was achieved in a way that raised our son’s confidence and enjoyment for Mathematics once again . He had an amazing approachable manner. We cannot thank Leroy and Tutorful enough as the timing and commitment before our son’s GCSEs was perfect . Thank you . ( Kadar family June 2019)

Martin Peter B
Maths tutor
First lesson. Very positive. Martin arrived promptly and prepared. Took time to put my daughter at ease, encouraging her to discuss all areas of maths including strengths, identifying areas she felt she needed support with. Discussing GSCE trial exam stress and frustrations in the classroom. Martin was incredibly patient. Really getting to know where she was at, so he could lesson plan to deliver the best service for her. Professional at all times, friendly, reassuring. Second lesson. Arrived promptly and prepared with appropriate lesson plan, as discussed. Very relaxed lesson. Professional at all times. Very encouraging. Worked to build up confidence. Praised accordingly. Guided when necessary. My daughter responded very well to the work set. Discussed next weeks lesson. Set homework. Discussed expectations. Martin encouraged honest open communication. Encourages questions and construtive discussion. Took the time to chat with myself after each session. Very pleased with Martins service and will be recommending.

I had a good feeling from Pathar's profile, and I was proved right. Friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable about his subjects and about the external exam process, he's already proved his worth. He's enthused my son once again, and he considers it one of the most positive academic experiences he's had in a while.
