I’m a Year 12 BTEC Applied Science student and this was my first session. Honestly, the lesson was amazing Simran broke everything down in a way that actually made sense, there was no rushing through anything, and when I didn’t get something straight away, she went back over it without making me feel silly. The pace was perfect, and I left the lesson feeling so much more confident with the physics content. Definitely a 10/10 and would recommend for students doing A levels and BTECs!

Which tutor is best for maths?
It is important to consider various factors when determining which tutor is best for maths. First and foremost, expertise and qualifications play a crucial role. Look for tutors who possess relevant qualifications in mathematics or have a strong academic background in the subject. Experience is also vital, as tutors who have successfully taught maths for a considerable amount of time are more likely to understand the curriculum and know how to effectively communicate complex concepts.
Additionally, consider the teaching approach and compatibility with the student's learning style. Some students may prefer a more structured approach, while others may benefit from a tutor who adopts a more interactive and hands-on methodology. Reading reviews and testimonials from previous students can provide valuable insights into a tutor's teaching style and effectiveness.
Availability and flexibility are also important factors to consider. Determine whether the tutor's schedule aligns with the student's availability for consistent and regular sessions.
Lastly, it is recommended to arrange a trial session or consultation with potential tutors. This allows the student to get a sense of the tutor's teaching style and how well they connect with the student.
