Choosing TJ as a tutor for my brother was a great decision. He has been communicative and supportive every step of the way. He has been accommodating and flexible while we’ve tried to figure out a study pattern that best suits us and we’ve now found a flow. In terms of lessons - each lesson is structured and purposeful. TJ is able to effectively engage and tutor, explaining any weaker areas clearly. He has been patient and understanding with my brother and his ways of learning. As such, they’ve formed a connection, which is much needed, allowing my brother to make the most of his sessions. I am so glad I chose TJ and would definitely recommend him to others looking for a GCSE maths tutor.

Steve has been a fantastic support for my daughter in the lead-up to her GCSE Maths exams. She had a crisis of confidence in a recent mock, dropping from her usual grade 6–7 to a 4, largely due to nerves and uncertainty around which methods to use. Since working with Steve, that confidence has really started to come back. He has a very clear and patient way of explaining things, which makes a huge difference. Topics that previously felt intimidating, like surds, have become much more manageable, and she’s starting to approach questions with a clearer sense of direction rather than hesitation. What stands out most is how he balances clarity with encouragement. The lessons are focused but still enjoyable, which has helped her stay engaged and motivated during a pretty high-pressure period. We’re really pleased with the progress so far and feel much more confident about her heading into the exams aiming for a grade 7 or above.
