Emanuele has been helping my daughter in Latin A-level as she was struggling bit to catch up with all the content and had a lack of confidence. We hired Joseph as my son had gained a conditional place to Eton and being an old Etonian, we thought Joseph would be perfect knowing what would be required academically. And we were not wrong. Having never been taught Latin or Greek, our son had to have a certain knowledge for his first year. My son tells me that Joseph made the lessons fun and the two of them got on really well. Joe was very punctual, thorough and obviously had put in a lot of time in the lesson planning. My son was happy to meet someone who had experienced Eton and who could talk to him about it. My daughter Alice has had a couple of Latin GCSE lessons with Fran. She says Fran is friendly and helpful, goes through things in sufficient depth to make sure that they are understood, and knows the subject well. We have also been impressed by Fran's conscientiousness and organisation.

My daughter E has been having Latin lessons with Andrea since last September, as she wants to do Classics at university and her school does not offer Latin as a subject. Previous to this, E had never studied Latin so this was a bit of a plunge but Andrea proved to be both very knowledgeable and patient, particularly important as the sole tutor of someone completely new to the subject. E is also autistic which comes with a few communication challenges for her, but Andrea has consistently dealt with this sensitively. E really enjoyed her lessons with Andrea and I have always found him pleasant and helpful when arranging lessons and discussing how E is getting on. We were delighted when E passed her National 5 exam (we are based in Scotland) with an A grade, and she is now planning to embark upon her Higher in Latin with Andrea. So overall I cannot recommend Andrea highly enough - a great language teacher!
