Gabriele C
Gabriele is an amazing tutor.
I have been studying Italian with him for the last 6 months and I have learnt so much. My speaking, writing and grammar has improved and he always ensures he explains things in detail.
Every lesson is very thorough and well planned, and we go through things step by step, to ensure I understand the vocabulary and the conjugation of words.
When Gabriele notices that I don’t understand something, we will revise it together until I get it correct. Not only are we practising vocabulary and grammar, but also real life scenarios and conversational pieces which I will use.
Overall Gabriele has been an exceptional tutor and I would recommend anyone to book with Gabriele!

I’ve been learning Italian with Louisa and I honestly couldn’t ask for a better tutor. She’s patient, enthusiastic, and incredibly good at tailoring lessons to my pace and interests. Whether we’re focusing on travel phrases, grammar, or pronunciation, Louisa always makes the sessions engaging and practical.
She has a real gift for explaining things clearly, and her encouragement makes even the trickier parts of the language feel achievable. I especially appreciate how she brings Italian culture into the lessons—it makes learning so much more enjoyable and meaningful.
Thanks to Louisa, I’m feeling more confident every week and actually looking forward to using my Italian on my upcoming trip. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to learn Italian in a relaxed, friendly, and effective way. Grazie mille, Louisa!

Brilliant Italian tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
My child hopes to study languages at the University of Aberdeen. Can a tutor help with their application?
Absolutely. Many of our tutors are experienced in supporting students with university applications, including for competitive courses at institutions like the University of Aberdeen or St Andrews. They can help your child craft a standout personal statement, prepare for interviews, and build a portfolio of work that demonstrates their passion and ability in Italian.
The schools in Aberdeen don't offer Italian SQA exams. How can a tutor help my child get a qualification?
This is a common challenge, and our tutors can help navigate it. They can prepare your child to sit exams as a private candidate for qualifications like GCSEs, A-Levels, or International Baccalaureate (IB) courses. A tutor can cover the entire curriculum, focus on exam technique, and ensure your child is fully prepared and confident on exam day.
How do I choose the right Italian tutor for my child?
You can read detailed tutor profiles, watch introductory videos, and check ratings and reviews from other parents. It’s a great way to get a feel for their teaching style. With over 4,100 reviews giving us a 4.6-star rating, you can feel confident in finding the perfect tutor for your child's needs.
What if we don't click with the first tutor?
We know that the right fit is essential for learning. That's why we have our First Lesson Guarantee. If you don't get on with your first tutor for any reason, email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover your first session with a new tutor.
How much does an online Italian tutor cost?
Our tutors set their own hourly rates, which are displayed clearly on their profiles. Prices vary based on the tutor's experience and the level of study. You can easily filter your search to find brilliant tutors who fit within your budget, with no hidden fees.
Are your tutors background-checked?
Yes, your child's safety is our top priority. Every tutor on our platform has passed an enhanced DBS check. We have a strict vetting process and only accept 1 in every 8 tutors who apply, so you can be sure your child is learning from a trusted and highly-qualified professional.
How do online lessons work?
Our online classroom has everything your child needs for a great lesson, including a video chat, an interactive whiteboard, and a space to share documents. All they need is a laptop or computer with a webcam, a microphone, and a stable internet connection.
Can tutoring help my child build confidence?
Definitely. One of the biggest benefits of one-to-one tutoring is the confidence boost it gives a child. In a supportive environment, they feel more comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, which is a huge part of learning. This new-found confidence often benefits them in their other school subjects too.
Do you only offer academic subjects, or can my child learn something like guitar or coding?
We offer a huge range of subjects beyond the school curriculum. Whether your child wants to learn to play the guitar, get started with coding, master a new craft, or develop their singing voice, you can find an expert tutor to help them explore their interests.
How often should my child have a lesson?
Most families find that one hour-long lesson per week is ideal for steady progress. However, the schedule is completely flexible. You can arrange more frequent sessions during school holidays or in the run-up to an exam, or less frequent lessons if you just need occasional support.
How do I pay for lessons?
Paying for lessons is simple and secure. Your payment details are stored safely on your account, and you'll be charged automatically 24 hours after each lesson is complete. You can view your transaction history at any time in your account dashboard.
How do online lessons work?
You can get started very quickly. Many tutors respond to messages within a few hours. Once you've sent a message to a tutor you like, you can arrange a time for a brief chat to discuss your child's needs and book in your first lesson for a time that suits you both.
