Kevin P
Inspiring, highly experienced tutor Guitar guitar tutor
I started playing guitar at the age of 6 years old when I was at primary school with a beaten up old classical guitar with bent machine heads and crazy string height – it helped me to learn the basics but I didn’t really take to it and didn’t practise at that stage. When I was coming up to my 13th birthday I was kindly offered an electric guitar and that was it, I was hooked! I wore out many tape players trying to copy artists such as Dire Straits, Shadows, Gary Moore and Jeff Beck to name but a few.. I have played everyday since and am always learning new concepts and exploring different appro...

James T
Inspiring Guitar tutor
James has been playing guitar for 20 years, beginning with classical guitar before expanding quickly into writing his own compositions, deviating from sheet music with "mistakes he liked the sound of". It was this playful detour that led him to study Composition at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. James can guide and tutor students from complete beginner up to Grade 8. He emphasises building a strong musical foundation and technique whilst encouraging an environment of play and curiosity, a deviation from this path, to celebrate the students artistic voice, with the risk of discovering...

George E
I'm new to Tutorful and just checking it out. My guitar playing has always been kind of uncomplicated and I've always been lazy with learning theory. George was exactly the tutor I needed to remedy this. He was well-prepared, covered exactly what I wanted to know about, and explained it very clearly. He was also very patient and really went the extra mile to make sure we got through everything he had planned even though I ran late (which won't happen again!).
I am not sure that I will actually stick with online lessons on Tutorful as I'm finding the platform rather buggy and tricky to use, but I don't want to go without recommending George. I would even prefer to do in-person lessons with him if I can make it work with my schedule
