More Than Chords: Building Creative Confidence at the Fretboard
Learning the guitar is about finding a voice. It's the moment your child moves from just copying songs to writing their own first riff. It's the confidence they gain when they can finally improvise a solo over a backing track. This isn't just a hobby; it’s a creative outlet that builds discipline and self-expression, skills that will help them stand out, whether they're aiming to join a band with friends or simply build a lifelong passion.

A Personalised Musical Partnership for Your Epsom Learner
Imagine a mentor who doesn't just teach chords, but listens to the music your child loves and figures out exactly what makes them tick. Our tutors are passionate musicians who build a genuine connection. We only accept 1 in 8 tutors who apply, so you can be sure they're not just skilled, but brilliant at creating a supportive space where your child feels comfortable asking questions and celebrating every small victory.
This partnership starts with your child's goals. Do they want to nail that tricky solo from their favourite song? Understand music theory to write their own material? Together, we'll create a path just for them. Each online lesson is a collaborative session, focusing on the exact techniques they need to progress, turning frustration with a difficult passage into the pride of playing it perfectly.
Because it's all online, your family's busy schedule is never a barrier. Your child in Epsom can learn from their own room, connecting with a specialist from anywhere in the UK – maybe a session musician from Manchester or a music teacher from Brighton. It’s expert coaching that fits around your life, not the other way around.

George E
I'm new to Tutorful and just checking it out. My guitar playing has always been kind of uncomplicated and I've always been lazy with learning theory. George was exactly the tutor I needed to remedy this. He was well-prepared, covered exactly what I wanted to know about, and explained it very clearly. He was also very patient and really went the extra mile to make sure we got through everything he had planned even though I ran late (which won't happen again!).
I am not sure that I will actually stick with online lessons on Tutorful as I'm finding the platform rather buggy and tricky to use, but I don't want to go without recommending George. I would even prefer to do in-person lessons with him if I can make it work with my schedule
