Sarah G
Sarah has been a great support to my son with his Graphic Design A level. She has so much knowledge and experience. He now understands the design process and how to organise his book work to support his research.
I would definitely recommend Sarah.

Supported my son with his Graphic design A2 level. Wish we’d found him sooner, he’s made such a difference in such a short space of time, he’s very engaging, knowledgeable, flexible and brought my son out of his shell by being so patient and helpful, nothing was a bother and my son built a great rapport with him. Highly recommend 👌

Lili G
Lili is fantastic and i enjoy listening over the session she has with my son for A Level Graphic Design. She has her work cut out for her as my son is not the most talkative, but she doesn't let this deter her and she continues to try and build the rapport and be relatable to the topic of choice. She's very patient, funny and really probes and questions him further in order to make him think about the direction he wants to go and shares some really good examples of how he can look to explore this further. I can already see a change in him where he is starting to approach things differently and with Lili's help i'm confident over time this will become easier. Another great session.

Candice W
I have only had a couple of classes with Candice so far but I already know chosing her as my tutor was the right decision. I'm getting the sense that she is very good at adjusting to the needs of the individual student; wether it's concerning how to support me in areas I struggle with or knowing what my interests are and providing tasks I would find inspiring. Candice is very encouraging and provides structured classes and assignments so you never feel confused about what is expected of you. She always replies to messages and emails outside of class if you get stuck and need some extra help. I would warmly recommend her to everyone looking for a tutor in the subjects she teaches. Especially if confidence is an issue for you or you would like to improve your performance. Graphic Design was my weakest subject in my first year of A-Levels but now, with her help, I feel like I might actually be able to achieve the grade I want. On top of that the process feels fun and engaging again rather than frustrating and discouraging.

Can a tutor help my child create a standout portfolio for Northumbria University?
Yes, absolutely. Many of our Graphic Design tutors have direct industry or academic experience. They can provide invaluable, expert feedback on your child's portfolio, helping them refine projects, showcase their unique creative voice, and present their work in a way that will impress admissions teams.
My child is worried about the competition in Newcastle's creative scene. How can a tutor help?
It's completely understandable to feel that way. A tutor provides a supportive, encouraging space for your child to build creative confidence. By focusing on their individual strengths and helping them master new techniques, a tutor can help them develop a unique style that feels authentic and helps them stand out from the crowd.
How do I choose the right Graphic Design tutor for my child?
It's easy to find the perfect match on our platform. You can watch introductory videos, read reviews from other parents, and check each tutor's specific experience. We recommend messaging a few tutors to discuss your child's goals before booking to ensure you find someone you both feel comfortable with.
What if my child doesn't click with their first tutor?
We know how important the right fit is for your child's learning. That's why we have our First Lesson Guarantee. If you don't get on with your tutor, email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk and we will cover your first session with a new tutor.

How do online lessons actually work?
Our online classroom has everything your child needs for a great lesson, including a shared whiteboard, video chat, and file sharing for reviewing portfolio work. All they need is a laptop or computer with a webcam, a microphone, and a stable internet connection.
Are your tutors' backgrounds checked?
Yes, your child's safety is our top priority. We interview every single applicant and only accept 1 in every 8 who apply. All of our tutors are DBS-checked and have their references and ID verified, so you can have complete peace of mind.
How long will it take to see an improvement in my child's work?
Every child learns at their own pace, but our one-to-one approach is designed to make a real impact quickly. Because lessons are tailored to your child's specific needs, they can start building skills and confidence right from the very first session.
Is tutoring just for academic subjects, or can my child learn practical skills?
We offer tutoring in over 300 subjects! Alongside academic support for subjects like Maths or English, our tutors can help your child learn practical skills like Adobe Photoshop, coding in Python, playing the guitar, or even learning a new language.
Can a tutor help my child with their BTEC as well as A-Levels?
Yes. Our tutors have experience supporting students across a wide range of qualifications, including BTECs, A-Levels, and foundation courses. You can check each tutor's profile for their specific experience or message them directly to ask.
How can a tutor help my child build creative confidence?
Confidence comes from feeling capable and supported. A tutor provides a safe space for your child to ask questions, try new ideas without fear of failure, and receive constructive, positive feedback. This one-to-one encouragement helps them trust their creative instincts.
