I recently graduated from Cambridge University, having studied social and economic sciences. Prior to this I studied Economics, Geography, English and DT at A Level, receiving 4 A* grades.Since graduating I have tutored for more than 1000 hours, both face to face and online. I am able to teach a variety of subjects, though focus mainly on Business Studies, Economics and Geography.I believe a student is most likely to excel if they enjoy what they are studying. The teachers who in my life have inspired me to succeed are those who have made me fall in love with a subject, and have made me feel like...
I am very pleased with the quality of teaching provided. Lauren has an excellent understanding of the subject and explains each concept clearly and confidently. Her knowledge really shows, and it makes every lesson engaging and easy to follow.
My son feels motivated and supported, and is very happy to continue with the lessons. It’s clear that Lauren cares about progress and adjusts their approach to ensure everything is well understood.
Overall, a fantastic teacher—professional, knowledgeable, and truly dedicated. Highly recommended!

Richard H
Richard has been very helpful in the lead up to my A-Level Geography mocks - in 3 sessions we went over potential exam questions for the whole of the physical paper and the way he explains what the question is asking and the concepts within the specification is really useful! The way he teaches makes him easy to understand and to remember what he has said even after leaving the session! I would recommend him to anyone at any level of Geography as he is so clear and encouraging.

Brilliant Geography tutors who you’ll really click with.
Our experienced tutors take the time to understand where each student needs to focus and their preferred way of learning. They make a measurable difference – 90% of all students improve by at least one grade.
My child is aiming for an A* in Geography to apply to Bristol. Can a tutor really make that difference?
Yes, absolutely. Whilst we can't guarantee grades, our tutors specialise in pushing students from good to exceptional. They focus on the higher-level analysis, exam technique, and nuanced arguments that examiners look for in A* candidates, providing the targeted support that can be difficult to get in a busy classroom.
With the high standards at local grammar schools, how does tutoring provide an extra edge?
In a highly competitive environment, one-to-one tutoring provides a personal advantage. A tutor can tailor every single session to your child's specific weak spots and learning style. This individual attention ensures they fully grasp complex topics and develop the confidence to articulate their knowledge under exam pressure, helping them stand out amongst their peers.
Can tutors help my child use local Gloucestershire examples in their essays?
Definitely. Many of our tutors are skilled at helping students apply geographical concepts to their local environment. They can guide your child in researching and integrating case studies like coastal processes on the Severn Estuary or rural planning in the Cotswolds, which makes their answers more original and impressive.
How does online tutoring work for a visual subject like Geography?
Our online classroom is perfectly suited for Geography. Tutors use interactive whiteboards to draw diagrams, analyse maps, and annotate satellite images in real-time. They can share resources, videos, and data sets instantly, creating a rich, engaging learning experience that's just as effective as being in the same room.
What happens if my child doesn't click with their first Geography tutor?
Finding the right fit is everything. If the first session with a tutor isn't quite right, please email our support team at support@tutorful.co.uk. We will happily cover the cost of your first lesson with an alternative tutor to ensure you find the perfect match.
Are your tutors qualified to teach A-Level Geography?
Yes. We have a rigorous selection process, and only 1 in 8 applicants are successful. Many of our Geography tutors are subject specialists with degrees from top universities, qualified teachers, or even examiners. You can view each tutor's full qualifications and experience on their profile.
How quickly can we find a tutor for our child in Gloucestershire?
You can start looking immediately. Our platform allows you to filter tutors by subject and availability, and you can often message a tutor and arrange your first session within 24 hours. The support your child needs is just a few clicks away.
How much does online Geography tutoring cost?
Our tutors set their own hourly rates, typically starting from around £25 per hour, based on their experience and qualifications. You can see the price on each tutor's profile, so you can easily find an expert who fits your budget with no hidden costs.
Can we book sessions to fit around school and other commitments?
Of course. That's one of the biggest benefits of online tutoring. Tutors offer flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, so you can arrange sessions at times that work for your family, without adding any travel time to your busy day.
Do you offer support for GCSE Geography as well?
Yes, we have a huge range of tutors who specialise in supporting students through their GCSEs. Whether your child needs help building foundational knowledge or wants to aim for the top grades, you can find the right GCSE Geography specialist on Tutorful.
My child is also studying for A-Level Economics. Can we find a tutor for that too?
Yes, we cover over 300 subjects across all levels. From core academic subjects like Economics, Maths, and Biology to practical skills like coding or learning a musical instrument, we can help you find expert online tutors for all of your child's learning needs.
How quickly can we find a tutor for our child in Gloucestershire?
Yes, all our tutoring takes place online. This gives your child in Gloucestershire access to the very best tutors from all over the UK, not just those who live nearby. It’s convenient, flexible, and highly effective.
